What an awesome article! You must spent a lot of time writing it. Its one of my fave Cdrama for this year after Shining for One Thing. I love the arts that Shen Yi drew in his journal for each case. Will definitely check the 2nd season if they decided to do one. I was curious who is the one who tear up his portrait in the last scene as each case and theme has been solved at the end.

But music in asian dramas is like one of the things that made it so great. The lyrics are actually the POV of the characters and when it played during sad scenes for an example, it made the whole scene even more heartwrenching. Thats why streaming sites also translate the lyrics of the songs as well since its one of the highlights.

For an example for Cdrama; Shining for One Thing, the lyrics are more like foreshadowing of the future events in the drama and it contains lyrics such as 'star shaped engraving on the left side of your arm' which the ML has in the drama. :D

I feel like he ML is The Days of Becoming You are overdoing the girly stuffs a lot. Is the ML here doing the same as well?

For me, to rewatch dramas, it need this 2 factors:

1) Dramas with smart script such as Joy of Life or Nirvana in Fire. Chances for this type of drama to taint the already perfect memory of them are pretty low but instead you will ended up with a better ratings after you finished it for the 2nd time since all the foreshadowings, gestures, secret and ambiguous scripts all made sense. And you realized how clever is the script since you start noticing all these small thing that contribute later to the overall plots.

2) Your comfort dramas -- dramas that made you happy simply by watching it. Usually, this type of dramas are silly with high entertainment value and it got plots that you already know the direction so instead of feeling anxious on what the plot might go, you just simply enjoying the ride, again... :D

I have a problem with this too. And she is lucky the ML is kinda perfect and see how wrong is her thinking. But her being pissed off when the ML said that to her was really weird as he is right. And her reply 'what do you know about love'? I was like? ?!!! haha

What lie did he told her in Episode 01?

IKR? They always wear matching clothes that are not in your face type of thing. Its not exactly a coupling outfits but their clothes matched with each other all the time. :D

I wonder how ratings in MDL works. I noticed dramas with a lot of watchers usually get higher ratings which is kind of weird despite the lack of quality of the said dramas.

Nino! Its been 84 years! You are finally in a new drama. 8D

She is actually my fave Japanese actress! I like how she can appear likable despite playing an annoying character which is no easy feat to do. My favourite dramas of her is Tatta Hitotsu no Koi and JIN. She is the type of actress that always play soft role but at the same time appear very strong -- this combination is actually rare.

And she also the most likable celebrity in Japan. She always stay at #1 for many many years and constantly on the list.

Sad that Joongki passed this role. The writer is one of the best in Kdramaland. I guess the lackluster response of the first season might be the reason.

Did they managed to be together at the end?

Yes, it sounds so poetic thats why I feel frustrated when they changed it. The title sounds like a good classic sageuk, but the English title become cringe instead haha

Yes, the old man could be the same imposter Sungmin who now donned the old man appearance. Everything was shown from a far so the theory can still make sense.

There is a reason why the director put the dragon cravings or why there is a script on how they are being watched so this all like clues to the 2nd theory. Director wouldn't put scenes that dont have meanings esp in movies where the screentime is limited.

What I hate the most where they keep having 'LOVE' in the titles. :((( Cdramas are the biggest offender of this one lol

Moonlight Drawn by Cloud becomes Love in the Moonlight.....

Unfortunately no. This is a XianXia drama where the 'God' had to go through various trials in order to reach higher levels. And he happened to be in love with a human so no matter what he do and no matter how many lifetimes he go through, this love is doomed from the start.

This drama is the one that made me realize that sometimes, the supposed 'trials' that these 'Gods' had to go through are so much that by the end, they probably give up love all together or they cant no longer have empathy to human. Its like 'the trials that I have to go through is soo much that nothing can top this' kind of thing.

But this drama focus more on the friendship than love and the friendship is very beautiful and they had like one of the most awesome reunion scene in my book. The ML is happy with his brothers by the end so it can count as happy ending as well.
