7.5/10 - Very ordinary story with nothing really special going on but the stories are very relaxing and calming. Still puzzle why the ratings for this drama is so high lol!
9/10 - I have no words to describe how I’m in love with this drama. I started watching it hoping to see something nice and I was surprised since the drama gives me something that I didn’t expect to get. Every week people have been debating who is the ‘husband’ but let’s be honest that the drama is not really about that. The romance part only covers like 20% of the whole drama and that 20% includes other characters’ love stories as well. I’m sad that other aspects of the drama have been overlook by some people since they have been so obsessed with who is the husband since day one.
9/10 - The best kdrama of 2015 for me. It made me discover the hidden gem that is Park Bo Gum. And I love the fact that how the drama is promoted (or even the posters) is totally different from the actual plot of the drama. I like it when Kdramas give you surprises like this. It’s like only people who actually give this drama a try could understand how truly awesome the drama really is.
8.5/10 - Have you ever watch a show that is good but you are puzzled why it is not more popular? Have you watched…
Now regarding the issue that many people has problem with this drama. I personally thought many people seemed to misunderstand the message that the writer trying to tell us. BOTH SEO JIN & ROBIN IS THE SAME PERSON. Hana didnt settle for Jekyll because Hyde and Jekyll happen to be the same person. The writer keep highlighting in the ending note in each episode on how the two of them will become one.
The dissatisfaction that many people have towards the different treatment between Seo Jin and Robin should not exist as they are one person at the end. The way to see this drama is that you should not be jealous of one part of yourself as you are the same person. That is what Seo Jin decided to do at the end. He accepted Robin as he knew Robin is after all him – you can see that Seo Jin no longer sabotaged Robin & Hana’s relationship because he knew that Robin is him. Memories are what makes a person. Without memories, a person will be empty. Seo Jin having all Robin’s memories and feelings (note how he even tear up suddenly at the bridge) at the end indicates that he is after all Robin. Robin is Seo Jin and Seo Jin is Robin. They are the same person.
8.5/10 - Have you ever watch a show that is good but you are puzzled why it is not more popular? Have you watched a show that you literally want to share it with everyone else because how it affect you emotionally? Have you watched a show that you find it hard to finish each episode because you keep rewinding your favourite scenes over and over again? Have you watch a show that you can literally start again just after you finished it? And have you watch a show where it satisfy you through and through? This is Hyde, Jekyll, Me means to me. I wanted to rate it 8 (due to some of the drama’s imperfectness) but the show seriously connect to me on spiritual level (lol) so it deserved an 8.5. I literally cried the whole last 2 episodes since its really too sad for me. I cant believe how good and addicting is the drama. It had interesting plot with brilliant ending and I like how everything come like a perfect puzzle at the end. Great character developments and the twists was revealed in a nice and smooth way.
8/10 - Goblin is actually a melo fantasy drama that disguised itself on the surface as a funny/hilarious drama. Despite the drama ends with a happy notes to all the characters, the ‘happy ending’ leave a bitter taste in my mouth tbh. Kim Eun Sook made Shin such a sad, pitiful and full of misery as a character. All he ever did from the beginning right until the end is waiting and waiting. He waited 900 years for his bride, he then waited another 9 years in coldness and nothingness yearning and trying to get back to her, and at the end, he waited another 60++ lonely years waiting for her to be reborn again. What kind of lonely and sad fate is that? There’s nothing cool or poetic about it. The writer just want to make the ending more ~dramatic~ but it turned flat instead.
9/10 - This is favourite drama of year 2016 without a doubt together with Signal. The story is very engaging from first episode until the last episode and I thought the writer did a very good job in telling the story of a contract marriage that eventually turn into love and how that love effects everyone around them.
And the chemistry between Lee Seo Jin & UEE is just magnificent. They really look like a couple and all their heartbreaking scenes are very good. I find myself keep watching the last 2 episodes over and over again since it is full of their scenes together. And the scene where UEE sit on the floor after she burnt her hand while cooking is just very well done.
9/10 - I love this drama! Particularly since the concept is great – in and out of the 2 worlds and the readers of the manhwa actually see how the characters deal with the fact that they are in manhwa and how they come to term with it, how Yeon Joo’s dad gave his face to the killer and the consequences of it and how they tried to end it (you literally can read from the manhwa how Kang Cheol discussed the ending lol). Its pretty cool if you think about it. How exciting to read that kind of manhwa in real life. So I ended up really like it a lot. I want to be entertained while watching a drama so I ended up enjoying lots of the plot twists – it is enjoyable when you can’t predict it. And I understand all the rules and concepts of the manhwa world so I pretty much understand why this and that happened so I didn’t end up hating the plots.
8/10 - As someone who loves sageuk, I feel like this drama is very light and low in the angst factor that I usually crave for. However, when I think about this drama as a whole, it indeed have many great scenes that you can watch over and over again. All the cute scenes made you feel really good and the sad or angsty scenes are so good especially the part when the Crown Prince / Byeong Yeon / Yoon Sung got attacked and stabbed.
4.5/10 - I don’t know how much crappy endings that I can take before I finally gave up Kdramas for good. I watched the drama knowing everything that’s going to happen just by watching the first few episodes. I know the destiny that awaits both Dong Soo and Yeo Un -- I can predict everything that’s going to happen to the very last scene that Yeo Un will (and need to) die in Dong Soo’s hand in the drama climax in the end. I was hoping that the scriptwriter will be creative and for once and give us a satisfactory and good ending but I know it’s only a wishful thinking for my part. I never imagine any drama can topped ‘The Legend’ disappointing ending but somehow this drama managed to do that.
9.5/10 - I watch this drama knowing it would be good, but it never crossed my mind that the story will totally…
The main reason that makes the drama special is the pure & innocent love story between Seung Yoo and Se Ryung. Honestly, I have watched tons of K-dramas love stories before but I have to say that this one is one of the very best ever written. It is so well developed right from the start; their sweet and beautiful courtship, misunderstanding, reunion, betrayal, and their heartbreaking sad fate and longing to each other is just painful and agonizing to watch. You can truly see why they fall in love and remain devoted to each other no matter how cruel the circumstances between their families. It is so well told and beautifully portrayed by both of the leads -- their exceptional and explosive chemistry is absolutely compelling with unparalleled eminence that for the first time in my life, I actually feel heartache watching a love story. No matter whether it is happy or sad scenes, watching the two of them just breaks my heart. Kudos to the writer for writing such a memorable love story, I’m expecting it to be good but I got more than what I asked for. There’re plenty of romantic unforgettable scenes between the two of them. I find myself watching them over and over again since they are beautifully shot; be it their first meeting, the date at the market and river, the horse ridings, the sudden confession, the hug scene in the shack, the kidnapping scene, the romantic scenes at the forest nor the marriage scene in the hut (I can’t believe they pulled a Cold Mountain here XD). The two of them really look like they are deeply in love with each other just by the look in their eyes or how they touched -- it is just simply beautiful yet heartbreaking to watch at the same time.
9.5/10 - I watch this drama knowing it would be good, but it never crossed my mind that the story will totally blow my mind away. I love almost everything the drama has to offer; the mesmerizing leads, excellent written script, brilliant directing, beautiful cinematography, heart-wrenching soundtracks, deep and angsty storyline, mind-blowing on-screen chemistry, and most of all the moving and pure love story of the lead characters.
9.5/10 - Penned by the famous writer of Jewel in the Palace & Queen Seon Duk, this drama is guaranteed to be amazing…
I truly enjoyed watching this. Like other Jang Hyuk's post-army dramas, it is high quality with engaging plots equipped with excellent acting from all the casts. I enjoyed the 10 episodes where the mystery is about to be revealed one by one (my fave part in watching Kdramas where its all fun and awesome -- not too sad or too tragic) before it become more addicted in the remaining 14 episodes. Before I knew it, I become attached with lots of side characters and cried when they meet their ends (especially the Crown Prince's death). I guess this is a bonus point I have to give to the screenwriters for writing engaging side characters that you feel attached and sympathise with. I didn't feel it with The Slave Hunter but I definitely feel the opposite in this drama.
9.5/10 - Penned by the famous writer of Jewel in the Palace & Queen Seon Duk, this drama is guaranteed to be amazing and it certainly didn't disappoint. It is honestly one of the best written script I have ever seen from a Kdrama -- it is clever, intriguing, interesting and heartbreaking at the same time.
i won't watch this but i was wondering if anyone can tell me the fate of the characters from SFD here since i…
This drama has one of the most awesome scripts in the history of Kdramas for me. I personally like this better than Six Flying Dragons. But both are excellent in term of script quality
7/10 - This drama is great tbh. It has everything that a good show should have; good directing, good script and plot, excellent acting, attractive actors, great cinematography and not to mention a really awesome and amazing figting scenes.
However, when the writer decided to go full head to make the main character as sad and tragic not to mention pathetic as it can be, the drama went downhill in my opinion -- it is no longer fun as the first 10 episodes. Not to mention when it start focusing on other sub-characters which we the viewers didnt really give a damn especially the political people slow conversations, I find that the drama lost its spark and I started fast forwording scenes that I never done in my 15++ years of watching kdramas. Come on, when you make the main character as engaging and full of depth as Dae Gil, would you like to watch how the drama spent half of its air time on other side characters that you don’t really care about?
By the time it reached the end, I actually wish Dae Gil to die since his fate is just too cruel or should I said ridiculous. It never happen to me before but this is a first time for me to wish the character that I like to just die and end everything.
