I wonder why they take forever to make Joy of Life 2 when it is such a great series. I think even My Heroic Husband gonna get 2nd season faster than it lol

This movie didnt deserved a rating any less than 9.5/10. I wonder why its so low. Man, its such a moving story and not to mention full of life lesson!

Thank you for this list. I picked up 8 from your titles since it seemed like a good heart-warming movies that is great during this time of the year (esp Teacher's Diary lol). I watched The Con-Heartist at cinema and left feeling entertained and happy and wish more Thai movies are shown in my country so I can experience it in the big screen.

You replies made me think the dramas in different perspective since I originally thought its possible to be like Hyunsoo since I believe in the power of the brain esp when its ingrained with the same ideologies since young (coupled with his traumas and other people's perspective of him, he really convinced he is unable to have feelings).

I also asked my sister who is a doctor whether it is possible or she is more towards your POV but she said it is possible since the power of the mind is real. With Hyunsoo case, he thought he is not possible to have feelings and really believe it until he cant really feel it for real. He might be intelligent and study about it but since he really believe it himself, thus despite the environment feed him with information and stimuli, he just didnt convinced enough to change his perspective until what happened in the middle of the drama.

A lot of cult followers for an example are rich and professional people who are highly intelligent and with brains, but why they can follow cult and believe in something totally ridiculous that even normal people like us think it is insane to have that belief? -- you can think it that way as well.

Ohh I see. I actually see it from different perspective since I see it the power of 'brain wash' so I thought it is very interesting. He really believe himself as something he is not so later when his wife told him that is 'love' and thats actually 'emotion', -- only then he realized it and other possibilities are open up for him. Its like when you are in love, you see someone flaws in rose-coloured glass so everything is shining to you despite it is a red flags to anyone else. Our mind is interesting esp when it made you believe in something that you completely block other things. But I can see you POV as well -- at one point, if he keeps feelings those emotions, he should have known it is a misdiagnosis lol

Ahh I see. Can you explain what do you mean with how ridiculous they dealt with his misdiagnosis? Isnt he was misdiagnosis thats why he thought he is a psychopath? Which part of it is ridiculous to you? I'm genuinely curious.

Ohh I love Chnagsu -- because I love intelligent male leads in general. Part of the reasons as well because I'm tired of the 'supposed' intelligent characters in dramas doing dumb decisions for love thats why I enjoy his character so much.

Can you spoil me on the ending?

I usually hate show when it involves weak and uneven scripts. I usually focus on the quality of the show, how well the plots are structured and the message it gave to viewers. Some writers likes to write pretentious lines when it is problematic in so many levels.

But I'm surprised you didnt like Flower of Evil and Nirvana in Fire though, those 2 are my absolute fave shows lol. May I ask what you dont like about it? Flower of Evil is actually the one who brought me back to Kdramas and while I never rate show a perfect 10 but I personally thought Nirvana in Fire deserved a 10. The script is esp brilliant to me.

I'm not a fan of hate watching since I usually will just drop the dramas if its anger or bore me. I think the last time I do hate watching is Scarlet Heart Ryeo and I was interested to see how horrible the show can get and man it didnt disappoint. Though it always makes me wonder why the drama is rated so high here in MDL despite the script is so weak and terrible. Its really fascinating to me that other people can extremely enjoy shows that I hate with passion.

lol if you think C-romcom is predictable, then K-romcom is super duper predictable. I somehow can stand C-romcom as it is full of fluff and just fun overall but I absolutely cant stand K-romcom for its predictable storyline or whatever ridiculous breakup they need to have at episode 14 lol! I think the only K-romcom that I absolutely enjoy is Sassy Girl Chunhyang, Prime Minister & I, Accidental Couple & Fated to Love You. The rest, I just spent my time rolling my eyes :((

For Liar Game, please do yourself a favor and only watch the J-version. It only have 2 seasons and thats where the gem is. Matsuda Shota is divine in that role.
