I agree with you regarding viewers rate masterpieces with low ratings just because they dislike how life was during that time despite how accurate the dramas were in portraying that era. I think when you watch dramas, you need to put aside your prejudice and view the drama objectively instead of wanting it to follow your narrative esp when it involved real history. Sad ending doesnt mean it is a bad dramas like what some people like to think.

But to be fair, I rated Scarlet Heart Ryeo low (4/10) not because I dislike the story nor the ending. I genuinely think the drama was a mess in term of script and everything. The inconsistency in the script makes me so frustrated and I was puzzled who the hell penned this drama since it seemed to be written by such amateur writer -- the kind of quality I didn't expect to see in sageuk since I'm used to watch high quality sageuk which are excellent in the script department.

Have you try something like Tree With Deep Roots or Six Flying Dragon? From my years of watching dramas, the best written ones are usually historical dramas as it it usually written by really talented and experienced writer. Or if you a fan of C-dramas, I would recommend something like Nirvana in Fire and you gonna be blown away with how intelligent the whole script is -- the mind games, deceptions and manipulations are very interesting to watch -- something that you rarely seen in normal dramas.

Oh yess!! I think its a first time where a lead actually do a satisfying killing (instead forgiving or become merciful). Shot the enemy's limbs one by one so he can understand the gravity of the crime he committed then kill him by a shot in the head. I think because the ML is from the future, his way of thinking is also different -- he knew this kind of man would never change. I thought the ML looks really dashing starting with the torture scene with the guard at the shed to the rescue scene haha. You dont mess with my woman or you will get my wrath kind of thing lol

What Jdramas that China remake? Can you give 3 of them? I think I want to try it since I love Jdramas in general

I've been watching dramas for a long time so I was there during the popularity of T-dramas and I cant never watch them for the overacting of the casts. So despite it being classic, I never enjoyed them in the first place so I actually prefers the remakes much more for the better script and realistic acting. I think its a matter of preference.

Like people keeps going on about Fated to Love You T-version but I for one never enjoy them and I had a lot of issues with the plot lol. The Korean & Chinese remakes did better take on some of the plots so I ended up enjoying it more than the original version.

Whats wrong with the ending? I thought its a happy ending?

I finished this drama today and I can safely say it is one of my fave romcom ever (in any language). Full of fluff from start to finish and the male lead is great like really great lol and the female lead is beyond adorable. I love how healthy is their relationship and there are no games or pettiness but just love and admiration towards each other. :DDD

Can you tell me what's the ending?

I still cant believe how young he is as he is always being paired with much older actresses in his dramas. But his charisma, confident and the ability to lead his co-actresses has always amazed me. And not to mention he always in good productions! I love each one of his dramas and despite he plays the same character (young CEO, rich and handsome), he played it differently each time and he bring life to the characters. His ability to play each character differently has always been one of his finest strength.

For new fans, he does take variety of roles but his popular dramas has always been The Eternal Love series and his romantic comedies. I would recommend Marry Me, I Cannot Hug You, Blowing in the Wind and Standing in the Time if you want something different from him. I particularly recommend 'Marry Me' as its probably the closest to his real life personality lol.

I really don't understand why they put that hideous hairstyles on her. Practically other female characters looks better with better hairstyles and clothes. I just dont understand it -- like at all lol

I think it depends on preference. I personally watched more Kdramas (start watching since 2 decades ago) and I never liked their romcom except a few. But I loved most C-romcom that I watched to my surprise despite not knowing any of the actors. I usually find the FLs in C-romcom likable and lovely compared to the FLs in K-romcom which I mostly found stupid and annoying. I think it all comes down to preference.

Because the marriage is only for the 'grandpa' alone. Thus the secret contract marriage. She doesnt mind for anyone else to know but the ML know how divorce affect women more in general thus he tried to protect her by not revealing that they are married to anyone.

She is not stupid but rather 'naive'.

The 'Unforgettable Love' is actually a reference to the unforgettable love between Xiao Bao and Qin Yi Yue. Despite being so small, he remembers her and that love is the one that saved him. She is his cure. And I liked the fact that this drama spent time to tell us this 'unforgettable love' story between a child and his 'mother'.

8.5/10 - This drama is super cute! I have some problem with how unrealistic some of the scenes or plot as I like my dramas to make sense if you know what I mean but everything else is just great so it still deserved an 8.5 from me. At IQIYI, it rated 9.5/10 with 250k++ viewers so its an indication that many people loves this show.

I wished we have more drama like this which centered on the little kid as focus. Both leads has great chemistry with the boy. I have maaaaany fave scene from this drama but the one that takes the cake is when Xiao Bao finally called Qiao Yan 'Papa' -- okay, I cried at that scene since at last, he can hear that from him. ;_;

I seriously think Miles Wei is great at picking up great romcom. Perfect and Casual is very high on my list and this follow a close second.

8/10 - I loved this drama since the ML is really intelligent and smart and it actually demonstrated throughout the drama. My only compliant is that FL kind of disappear at times and there are literally no romance scene between the 2 of them. I wonder why tbh. Is it because the male lead is not traditionally handsome so the writer totally write off any romance scene?

And yes I would watch the 2nd season since I love intelligent storyline and I actually interested to see how the ML going to solve each conflict with his wisdom.

9/10 - I can't believe that I gave such a high rating for a romcom haha. But this drama deserved every bit of it. The plot is interesting from start to finish and the leads are very likable and lovely. And both leads have high EQ so misunderstanding are solved within one episode.

Zhang Si Nian is literally perfect just like the title suggested. If anyone liked to watch a 'perfect' male lead with no flaws and the ones who treat FL right from start to finish, then this drama is for you. His character development just made him warmer but he has always treat the FL right and ALWAYS make the right decisions and actions. Si Nian probably has become one of my very fave drama characters ever. His gentle way of speaking and his wisdom and intelligent really made him great as individual.

Yun Shu is just super duper lovely. I can see why anyone would fall for her as she is sweet and kind. The SML used the word 'Addictive' for her and I couldn't agree for more as those who know her will get addicted to her somehow. She's very charming and she neither 'clumsy or stupid' like many suggested. 'Naïve' is the right word to describe her as she actually graduate with a science degree from famous university and she has no problem understanding complex thoughts and teachings. But her naivety and kindness are the ones that put her into trouble but its also part of the reason that made her special.

Chemistry is off the charts! I love the fact that the FL is the one who always initiate skinship or kisses. And ML is the one who always smile and amuse with her boldness. Their relationship is very healthy and sweet. I would say this romcom has many kissing scenes which are more than any regular romcom but it made sense since any married couple in love would do the same. :D

Her 'imperfectness' is what made his life 'perfect' and I couldn't agree for more.
