The cinematography, OST and acting were brilliant. Haven't seen any other BL of such high production from China.
By high production, I meant from China. As much as I've absolutely loved the other bls from China, I can tell they were made on a low budget, Double Helix seems to be the only one which doesn't look low budget.
And no, I'm not new to bls. I've watched several Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese, and Thai bls, as well as Western queer media. I've also read several yaoi manga, manhwa, manhua, danmei, and other bl novels. I like to consume any bl from any country if it has an interesting story and good acting. I've only been actively using MDL for the last couple of months. It doesn't show everything I've actually watched because I don't remember all of it. I'm updating it whenever I remember anything.
And what does me liking bts have to do with any of this? I don't waste my time engaging in k-pop fanwars, so keep your negativity to twitter and don't bring it here I beg you.

This is so frustrating. A show should be judged by its story, acting, and overall production. I give extra points for the OST and cinematography. How does a pair's popularity make a show good? I pity those who would rather watch trash just because it stars their favorite popular pair than a genuinely interesting story with good actors.

In return for the favor, Big Jane demanded that Little Jane belong to him in body, mind, and soul forever.
And this is how Big Jane finally had Little Jane caught in his trap.
I'm so tired of people review bombing and negatively rating good dark romance bls, first it was Double Helix and now this. The ratings dropped from 8+ to 7.8 overnight? How? And why? Who's doing it? This show is peak yaoi, it deserves better ratings.
Watching this after Double Helix, the parents' reactions couldn't be more different. The parents in Double Helix ruined their children's lives and stayed homophobic until their last breath, while the parents here are so accepting. It makes me sad, why couldn't everyone have such supportive parents? Little Jane's parents are so sweet
