It's very similar to the recent Chinese bls - To My Shore and Double Helix, the same dark romance vibes. I have absolutely loved the other two and am loving this one too!

So well said! Plenty of other BLs with bad acting, poor production, and cringe-worthy stories have better ratings than this meanwhile Double Helix gets low ratings and bad reviews, this isn't justified at all. MDL is losing it's credibility.

It's a really good show but it comes with a lot of trigger warnings : drugging, non-con, kidnapping, abuse.

True, both of them are so fine, lethal face cards. I find both the leads in Sammy's Children's Day and Double Helix really fine too.

Dark romance is a genre that's not for everyone. If it makes you uncomfortable, it's probably better to stay away from these shows. As for why many people, including me, enjoy them, it's because we're into these tropes. The stories are complicated and the characters are layered. There are plenty of soft, fluffy BLs out there, so it's better to leave the few toxic ones to those of us who enjoy this genre. Liking this genre doesn't mean I support the characters' toxic or abusive behavior. Just because a show I liked contains problematic content doesn't mean I endorse it. Fiction and personal values are not the same thing.

Lu Feng and Yi Chen have some of the best kisses I've ever seen in a BL. They're so sensual and full of passion. Feels like I'm interrupting their privacy. The actors did an amazing job!

By love, I was referring to his version of love, not mine. Any normal person would see it as an unhealthy obsession. But he's not normal.
