I just watched the trailer for Part 2 and the part where TZ says "but I'm not him" really got me. Poor guy living with the consequences of the choices of his past life he has no recollection of or is even responsible for.

Yup definitely not love at first sight. He was intrigued by the faint blue in MuDeoks eyes. Also, maybe Md wasn’t blind at all but went around with a cloth pretending to be blind cos it was easier than walking around with ice blue eyes. Especially back then cos people would think she’s a monster of some sort. I think having NS in her body makes her eyes less blue. When Naksu opened MD’s eyes for the very first time after the switch she was surprised she could see but this is all from
NS’s pov. When MD took over the body during the “dream walk” she didn’t seem blind at all???

Didn’t they say it will somehow select a like for like soul so it’ll be more compatible for the switch? And despite MD’s weak appearance, maybe her magic and soul is powerful cos of her secret identity as either the Jin eldest daughter or the living ice stones or both. Naksu was a powerful mage so having MD’s body with her soul intact, while prevented her from accessing her powers, have helped her stay alive and not get petrified.

Yup, exactly! And this is once again shown when Uk didn’t have a mark either. Like in that galaxy looking place where you’re about to switch souls, I think you only get a mark if you go to the light tunnel effectively expelling your soul. MuDeok showed up and helped UK stay there keeping him in his own body. This proves that she’s in her own body still.

In the beginning esp Nakdu thought that the mark of soul ejection was in MuDeok’s eyes when Jang Uk mentioned their colour.. Anyone else think that her eyes are that way because they are the ice stones and there’s no ejection mark cos her souls was never ejected (this is strongly, strongly hinted at this stage)

I Agree! As if it's just typical Jang Uk taking a p**s and bragging at his current predicament

because we as viewers are privy to a lot of other stuff happening and the characters are not. the most logical explanation for them is someone might've left it open hence the daughter quickly said she might've opened it (but you can see there's confusion there). The most logical thing is not to assume a "random" who is seemingly lowly and powerless as the long lost daughter (well not yet anyway).

It looks like all the young gen main characters are bound by fate

Oh she’s totally in her own bubble and thinks the world revolves around her. However, I don’t tbh m she meant any harm to anyone by that. She just likes attention and likes to be elevated. I wouldn’t say she’s unkind but I think she’s too young and selfish and is not very self aware until later on.

I think most productions film the scene without knowing 100% what song or portion of a song they will have over the segment hence the discrepancy between movement and beat is in pretty much every drama that involves someone playing any kind of instrument.

I think she was just sick of having to listen to others and always being told what to do and where to go so when she was praised by someone important she took that as an opportunity to say I don't need to listen to anyone, I do what I want, my art is precious so I choose when to play. And perhaps part of it is just her sulking because she's not used to them being remotely harsh on her.

Yup! I mean she was quite cautious and drew boundaries with Shen. But it doesn't help when EVERYONE was like "oh he seems like a good guy" and "he seems genuine about you" etc etc. I hope this won't be too harsh a lesson for her.

Yeah I don't like that Shen guy. Even IF he was written to be good, the fact that he was so pushy and didn't respect any of her boundaries and not taking no for an answer really irked me. I really hate that.

Also GQF's attention on her wasn't fake. Even when it was a made up excuse to be around Pan Er, I think he really does want to help her and care for her wellbeing but it just didn't stem from any romantic intentions for her. He cares for her because Pan Er cares for her.

And yes, I do hope she gets to have a decent journey and ending.

I agree with you here. She seems really inflexible because she's proud. It's all just to mask her deep insecurity.

Probably an unpopular opinion but maybe we should all cut Yinzhang a bit of slack?
I'm super annoyed with her behaviour but let's just remember how she was abused physically, mentally and most likely even sexually. She was starved and tied up like a dog. She escaped that life just to resume the reality of being an entertainer - which is super low in social ranking - and belongs to the court, so she's not 100% free. ALSO, she lives in a little Yinzhang bubble, has dreams of grandeur and is always coddled and protected by Pan Er. In today's world she would need A LOT of counselling to heal and cope and y'all are just calling her spoilt! She's definitely not behaving "normally" or appropriately but can yo really blame her? That Shen guy probably knows she's easy target too. Let's not victim blame.

I think it’s both? His “aunt” is really his mum right? Since he was adopted by his uncle, officially his mum will be his “aunt”. He wants to give her honour and a proper burial I think. He’s also been fed that his dad is corrupt and must be taken down. Tbh I’m still not sure who the bad guy really is. But I think it has to do with his own trauma and pain of abandonment so he wants to punish his father. Obviously, we can see he is conflicted.

Yeah I think he definitely know something as it looked like he's seen a ghost. No way it was just because she was too pretty. His reaction wasn't lustful but more fearful to me.

I think it might be the case. Remember when she was lying to the boat captain about eloping with GQF? Then, she said he was Minister's Xiao's son called Xiao Fan - which is basically his real identity and name before being adopted into his uncle's family and taking on the last name GU. I mean how can she know of Xiao Fan's existence otherwise? A lot of court people didn't even know about it.
