Beautifully written! I watched the first few episodes and wanted to get a better idea about this drama, and your review gave me all I needed to keep going.

I liked that they showed Xi Gua's father was once loving to her. And when he was in the hospital, he showed some regret for what he gave up. I felt he loved his daughter. It was sad when she asked him if he had ever loved her.

The shadow of truth! I am glad they met soon after. Now we need to wait for his identity reveal🤭

I also feel he represented self doubt the same as her Xi Gua's father. The sml was too concerned with society and social status to truly just love her. He had to feel he was better. Same as her father who let gender roles get in the way of his relationship with his ex wife. He wanted to feel superior so he ended up with leeches.

I don't go on Weibo or X much unless someone posts a link. I am not as informed as some. Maybe you know more than I do, but from what I have seen, he seems to be kind and personable and I enjoy watching him. You seem to hate him. And again, I am not a walnutz and not part of his fandom. I am just someone who has enjoyed some of his dramas. Right now, I am loving his present drama, Pursuit of Jade, not only because of ZLH but for both leads and support actors.

I will try Romance on the Farm. I am sure it is already on my list. Sometimes if a drama is not on Netflix or any of my usual means of watching dramas, I forget they are on my list.

I am the same. I thought I would like Wrong Carriage, Right Groom as it started out looking like fun but after a while I felt myself struggling to watch it.

I didn't watch In Between as the storyline doesn't appeal to me but I will be looking for her other dramas. The only other drama of hers that I have watched and enjoyed was New Life Begins. I love Bai Jing Ting.
