I agree. The romance is there because there is so much to make us feel they have a special bond as a couple. The handwashing scene was so intimate until Mudan splashed the water in his face 🤣

I can't understand some of the reviews criticizing the ending. They are not taking into consideration that there is a part 2. I am happy the final episode of part 1 did not leave us with a horrible cliffhanger. Instead, it showed a wonderful resolution to one of Mudan's goals even if there are unresolved issues in other cases not to mention the concubine. I try to forget she is there because it gives me a creepy feeling the way she tries to "take care" of JCY in a wifely manner. I didn't even mention her in my review because I wasn't in the mood to deal with her. She is just there.

The intimacy level is not "hot" but it feels good watching them together. When I said "sizzling" I was thinking the sound of the fire during their regular scenes in the backyard. I should edit. The previews showed a kiss scene but maybe that is in part 2.

I felt so relaxed and at peace watching them chat and eat out under the stars. I loved their easy friendship and the way they understood each other. No hate relationship. Just two smart people getting to know and like each other.

I think we can take the hand washing scene from the wedding as a replacement for a kiss scene 🤣 This gives "slow burn" a new meaning.

She knows he had to go along with having the second concubine. Once she realized he didn't want to do it, her demeanor changed and she helped him avoid the concubine. Before that, you could see she was not happy to hear he got another.

It will be resolved as Mudan came up with a plan to get it back. The the leads came up with a plan to address other issues. That is how they worked together. Just keep watching and don't let the Shenyi's situation stop you.

Wonderful cast. Li Xian is perfect for this. I love his relaxed demeanor. Nothing fazes him except when he went running to see why Mudan was wearing makeup. That was funny. Yang Zi was brilliant. She knows how to show emotions without overacting. I can't wait to get home to watch the final episodes. I will rewatch before the second season comes out.

It is not bad if you don't have to wait for the next episode. The way the leads work together after this is wonderful to see.

Assuming that those who enjoyed it rated each episode a 10, think there were about 10 people rating the episode as 1 to down rate the episodes even before they aired. I know it takes some time to rate each episode especially as we have do it twice and submit, but please try doing some a little at time. I have not fast forward through any of this even though I wasn't interested in the princess at all. Even there wasn't much romance, I loved watching the leads come to know each other right from the start. I get bored easily and but with Flourished Peony, the episodes flowed so nicely one to the other.

Yes! There is no other way to get through the lack of logic but to laugh. From the first episode it was established that she was a virgin, so I don't know how he could believe she was married.
