I thought I saw one. I saw that she got a paper from sml, then it went into flashback.

I will never be okay with it but I can still see that going with that ending it was well done. But I would have preferred an HE. There was too much suffering for him to just die in the end. I can't help feeling sad. It it had been an HE I would want to keep rewatching but it isn't so I don't know if I will watch it again.

I love it still but I am sad. Wonderful performance. No overacting. I love the dignity and grace shown in their characters.

But he trusted Duanwu to do what he taught her with the arrow. Yes, he doesn't stick with the law when he is dealing with his enemies but he loved Duanwu and he cared for his new friend ZJR. He is used to being in control but he steps back and let's Duanwu do her thing. He doesn't try to hinder her growth and in fact, looks proud of her. Dealing with the enemy sometimes requires a cool ruthless approach. I don't think he disregarded CSJ's life. He saw how much Duanwu wanted her saved and he will do anything for Duanwu's happiness.

I don't think this is the reason he didn't get his HEA😭 It could be to show Duanwu can do this on her own or it could be that you can change your fate by taking charge of your life to achieve everything you want but we don't always get our wish or our deepest desires. Duanwu wanted YZJ to stay with her more than anything she had ever dreamed of. And he wanted to be with her. Some things are out of our reach like the stars. My head is still all mixed up right now. I have to sort through my thoughts, I loved this. I loved the leads. I see what they did in the ending but I am still not happy. And yet I loved this drama.

Those of you who do not want to watch the ending because you read the spoilers, just go for it. I am the first person to say no sad ending for me but I pushed through to the end because it has been beautiful to watch the couple so far. If you don't watch, you will miss out on the beautiful scenes between the leads and the support actors. You will just be accepting crust of pie without tasting the filling. You will miss out. I admit, there is one drama I refused to watch the last 5 episodes but with this one, I had to watch.

I don't like sad ending either and will often read the back of the book before I start. But the ending was beautiful in its own way. They love we saw grow between was painfully portrayed. It hurt to watch and yet so beautiful.

I don't like open or sad endings but I couldn't stop. I had to see it through. There was such beauty in the journey to final acceptance. Push through. You will not regret it even if you cry.

They have been leading up the ending for a long while. And it was revealed to us that Duanwu knew. What made this tragic ending beautiful was the dignity and acceptance of the leads and the selfless love for each other. YZJ didn't want her to see him suffer. He didn't want to leave her. This tough man who had been through so much suffering since he was boy cried knowing he had to leave her. How I wish it didn't end this way. But I still loved this drama.

I finished it knowing the ending. But I knew it would be beautiful even if it broke my heart. Every episode of this drama has been captivating. The love between Duanwu and YZJ held me glued to this drama. The perfect sml won my heart. He was just perfect and admirable. The final episode is not what I wanted but it was beautifully done.

I wish there was more such a baby to carry on YZJ's legacy after his family was cleared of treason. but like Duanwu, we can succeed in what we do, but life isn't perfect. And we can't always get what we want. Disappointed but no regrets watching this outstanding production.

Lusi looked so beautiful at the end. I was not fond of the previous hairstyle as much as the side braid and the final styling.

Anyway, I can't think right now. I have mixed emotions.

I am about to watch episode 40. It is beautiful the way the drama has progressed. I don't know how actors show so much in the smallest expressions. Every little facial expression is a glimpse into their thoughts. I see Duanwu slowly becoming more anxious as she knows...Well, I am going to push forward but a part of does not want to. For one thing, I will miss watching them grow closer together and the other thing you all know.

I don't regret watching it. It is one of the best. I am just happy with the end. I am going to watch the last 4 episodes later. I dread it. I can understand those who have never watched it deciding to avoid it. We can only tell them the journey was beautiful.
