The Princess Royal is still top 10 on Vlinkage. It is 6th which is great considering it has already ended. While it was airing it was #1 in the web drama category.

Yes. i got annoyed at one point and felt they were taking this slow to admit her love type thing too far especially as it was already obvious LR loved PWX. My love for PWX just kept me captivated with this drama, so I loved it. I appreciate this discussion with you. I liked that your review was fair. I gave your review a like even if I don't agree with your rating but I certainly understand your point of view and respect the way you presented your opinions.

This is a fair rating. Many of us wished it had more of the main couple in the final episode and disappointed we didn't get the grand wedding. But I was nervous the director was going to get creative and leave us with an open ending. I am paranoid at this point as directors seem to be going for some kind of coveted award for creativity. Therefore, I was happy it was an happy ending and I loved the main couple and PWX. I also loved a couple of scenes at the end which included his confrontation with his family and also his march up the palace stairs to save LR.
I think the reason LR was given the power at the end is because she is more suited to rule than LC based on the conversation between the father and LR and also LR and LC.
I would have also preferred more happy family scenes in the extra episode. That amnesia scene is from an added chapter to the book that I hoped would not have been included. Instead, they could have created a more coherent epilogue instead of time spent on amnesia with recall of what we had seen in the drama. And the only kisses in the extra episode were from flashbacks. The amnesia story took up most of the bonus ep and I could have done without it. But for what I loved about TPR, I let the rest slide 😂

I find myself watching those vertical dramas too and they are terrible. But somehow I keep watching.

I appreciate your honest review even if I disagree with you about what followed after episode 11. I watched the whole drama and rewatched the episodes as they aired. Like you, I loved the couple and felt they loved each other in both life times. Perhaps because I was totally sold on the main couple's love for each other, any attempt by the producer to romanticize SRQ did not work for me. I barely noticed him in the first half of the drama and then in the second half I watched him with one eye to see if any information was revealed about who was behind LR's death.

It is too bad you didn't keep watching because the couple had some adorable scenes and at one point LR told SRQ she would hate him forever if he harmed PWX. Many members here have commented that they are glad they didn't listen to the negative comments because they watched TPR and did not find the negative comments to be true but in fact loved the drama.
I made the mistake of reading chap 170 of the book that revealed LR's relationship with SRQ after she separated from PWX. Usually these aspects of a drama would stop me from watching but ZLH and Jin Mai made me love the couple and I was able to separate the novel from the drama.

And again, I appreciate your honest comments as you explained step by step how you progressed through the drama and then dropped after ep 11.

It was way out there! I was over that storyline by then and wanted to fast forward but didn't. I will on rewatch.

They would really look great together. Mai Mai and ZLH are supposed to be doing a modern drama but not confirmed. CFY is just coming back so hopefully he will be paired with Mai Mai. I love her too. Sometimes I feel my favorite actors are wasted on some of the actresses they are paired with but it is just me because others seem to like them. Some of the actresses I find are too mature looking for the younger actors but that is my personal preference.

I would love to see ZJM with CFY! She reminds me of ZJY with her natural style and neither of them overact.

You are in for a treat with some of PWX's best scenes in the last few episodes. If you read my review, you will see where I addressed the comments that said the ML was really the SML. PWX is definitely the ML. Enjoy!

There is nothing new to watch so I am just rewatching some favorites. You are right. No point forcing it with ABAY. I dropped it.

You should also watch Amidst a Snowstorm of Love if you like a devoted ML.

I keep wondering if I need to keep watching because then I might connect somehow. I even went to the episodes people said was so hot but I don't see what they are talking about. Even Xu Kai can't keep me interested and he is so great to watch.

Xu Kai is great. But when the FL lacks the ability to make the scene look convincing, it does not work. She just goes through the motions.
