I feel pity for him also. He seems honorable and loyal to those he loves. He has been through his losses and his limitations due to his health makes him want to have power where he can prove himself. I hope he has a good ending. I watched some previews just now and not sure he will end well.

That is what I was wondering also. He looked disappointed that CYY showed up as if he wanted to rescue her. But killing the old woman seemed too drastic for covering up his failed attempt at the rescue.
