It was so gratifying to see my thoughts on LR confirmed by not only PWX, SRQ, SRH, SY, and LR. I hope viewers listened to the words that were said. I always rewatch and the first thing I did this morning was rewatch ep 21 because I had a feeling I dozed off in the middle and missed the cute cuddle scene. I love PWX's assistant!
Those who doubt LR's love for PWX, do you understand her better after ep 20? I still see comments about LR not deciding between SRQ and PWX. She is not trying to decide between SRQ and PWX. She loves PWX and wants him by her side. She just doesn't want to fully give herself to that love because she is afraid to trust anyone with her heart. In her previous life, she felt betrayed when she found out QZZ was PWX's childhood friend who he was once engaged.

The reason LR used herself as bait was to draw out the assassin who tried to kill PWX. As SY said, LR was furious that someone tried to kill PWX. But even so, it was rather upsetting to see all of PWX's effort to be romantic so easily trampled. Oh, he looked so good with his hair down. It is a good thing there was a sense of comedy running through this scene or it would have been too sad. It is not that I didn't feel for PWX.
Between PWX, SRQ, SY, and LR herself, the reason LR is holding back was explained. We cannot look at LR as an ordinary woman. We need to take into consideration her point fo view and how she is. I am not saying we need to agree with her but at least hopefully those who dislike her character can see she she loves PWX. I wish everyone would stop focusing on SRQ in this and give some credit to LR for loving PWX in her own way.
Episode 20: it's funny how PWX loses his martial art skills when it's usually the FL who loses them when needed.
There was a comedic feel to ep 20😂 But it also confirmed what I have been saying about LR. It is who she is that makes it hard for her to trust. She doesn't trust PWX with her heart and thinks he has ulterior motives. I keep remembering how in the second ep, her father was afraid to eat the pastry she brought him and only ate a piece of the one she chose for herself.
Ep 20 confirmed my thoughts on LR and why she will not admit she loves PWX. I have not been as annoyed with her as some, but even I was hoping PWX would make her feel really bad after what happened. It was sad to see all his arrangements go down the drain and I felt bad for him. I don't know why I wanted laugh. It was in one sense funny. JIn Mai is amazing. I also watched ep 21. But I think I dozed off because I didn't see one scene from the previews. Not to worry. I always rewatch. I am going to get some sleep and watch again in the morning.
I don't know how anyone can call this boring or don't see the chemistry. They are so good together. I love the humor they add to it.

TPR is slowly unraveling. However, since I feel connected with the main storyline with the leads, it has hooked me. There is humor in the way they interact ,so you are right about the comedy. The thing is I can feel the love they have for each other but LR doesn't trust PWX with her heart so it is taking a while. We are half way through so hopefully tomorrow we will see progress as some are getting quite impatient with LR!
And yes, when you like the actor's style it makes the drama much more enjoyable. I love Jin Mai's speech deliverance. I enjoy her natural style of acting. I love the way she emphasizes her word and she doesn't overact. And I find her convincing in romance. But I have never been able to enjoy Seven in romance drama even though I find her funny in comedy.

I just skimmed the book. PWX will agree with you😂 There was more in the book where PWX discussed his attributes. He told LR he married her whereas SRQ was afraid to marry her. He pretty must called SRQ a coward. Also, reading the book it said the princess looked at SRQ after he proposed because she wondered about his motive. And in the first kiss scene, the book describes Li Rong as hot for PWX but then she hesitated because of "ulterior" motives. Basically, she has trust issues. However, she remembers how PWX used to be awkward at kissing when they just got married but like everything else he perfected it and he is the only person who she felt passion kissing. Or something like that.
