The first time I saw WXY was in One and Only and I had no clue he was so young. Xu Kai is one of my favorites. But for me, he is not well matched with some of his FL's. Unlike WXY, the age difference shows. I didn't watch SAHPH or WOL and will probably skip As Beautiful As You. The only drama of his I was really looking forward to was Sword and Fairy with Esther Yu. However, I stopped watching when it got to gloom and doom.
This is the first drama of WJY that I watched. She is amazing. I think she is the FL in My Bargain Queen and I started it but didn't continue.

I am not a big Kdrama fan but watched a few I liked. I will take a look at The Atypical Family. I have watched all of the above Cdramas except for Lost You Forever and WOL. I am waiting for season 2 of LYF and it is because I watched The Legend of Zhouhua why I skipped WOL. I got turned off the actress after watching LOZ. It is funny because I saw her in City of Streamers but could not stand watching her in LOZ. I also did not feel she was a good match for Xu Kai.
I have some suggestions for you: Blossoms in Adversity. Will Love in Spring, and Lighter and Princess. I have not seen your watchlist so just naming a few. L&P has a special place in my heart.

Hope you are right! The build up needs something satisfying.

It is great we get to see him here as a ML after watching him in AASOL. I am sure the directors are going to try to grab in for future dramas.

I didn't even try it. Thank goodness for The Double. What are we going to watch when it ends. I am also rewatching AASOL on Netlfix. The translation seems to be better.

I could just scream. I could see it coming and as their lips started to disappear, I found myself looking up under the screen as if I could see it! Ahhhhhh....

Even if this was boring, I would watch just to see Duke Su! I am going to rewatch the candle scene again. The before part was soooo good. I love you, Duke Su!

I had to reread this a couple times. I am not sure if you are saying the ML does not have the right screen presence of a ML in The Double even though you felt he was great as a SML. This is funny because I asked myself if I would like this so much if it was not for MSY's charismatic performance. I cannot get enough of him.

I don't notice the age gap here at all. I love the chemistry between the two leads and do not want it to end! I have skipped several dramas which have high ratings due to what I felt were not well matched leads or because there were older women tropes or I simply don't like watching one of the leads. It is just a personal preference. I could not see Xu Kai with Yang Mi for example. I can understand if some do not like a certain couple match. I don't bother watching in that case.

I skipped She and Her Perfect Husband and WOL for personal preference. I love Xu Kai but I couldn't see him with either of these actresses.

And I would not prefer any other actor than MXY for Duke Su. He is just perfect❣️

After what happened with Bright Eyes in the Dark with a great expectation of a HE, I am bit wary. This ends on Sunday I think. We will find out.

@Dramaqueen I also paused at the ventriloquism scene and thought the same. But as you said, the acting and my emotional connection to the drama overcomes all that 😂 Duke Su is enough for me to pause and move on. But with the ventriloquism scene, I figured the words told them who it was. A child's voice might not be as easily distinguished as an adult.

The thought that the ventriloquist could not possibly know the child's voice went through mind but that was quickly pushed out as I focused on what was being said😂 I totally admit that a part of my love for this drama is Duke Su! I could stare at him all day. It is not just his face but his whole persona. But I am also intrigued by the storyline and waiting to see how it ends. Hoping for a happy ending.

I am lazy to change my profile picture 😂 I even started to rewatch AASOL a few days ago on Netflix as something to watch while waiting for new episodes of The Double. Maybe I will change it to Duke Su!
