I agree she should not have spoken to her daughter that way. But I empathize with what she is going through. She lost a spouse who was her other half and has to find her new norm. She is a strong woman from what I can see but inside she is still grieving.

I get snooty about Kdramas but I have some I like. There are some that made me swear I will never watch another Kdrama but then I remember there are some I like. What is with the screaming crazy characters? I watched Marry My Husband and regretted wasting my time. There is only one or two that I watched twice but none tops my favorite Cdramas of which one is L&P! And I love my Chinese actors such as Li Xian, Xu Kai, Wu Lei, CZY....

With dramas like this and L&P, I am losing patience with the ones I cannot feel any chemistry. I am so looking forward to Zhang Jing Yi's next modern drama. I bet it will have great chemistry. I would love to see her with Li Xian! He is one of my favorites. I love his vibe... that quiet smile, that look of authority... He has a combination of quiet yet strong personality. And then that smile...

Meet Yourself was beautiful to watch. Li Xian plays another wonderful man who looks after the interests of others. Sometimes the conversation between the locals gets draggy but I think intention was to portray the everyday life of the people living in the rural areas.

I feel the mom's pain. She just lost her husband. I understand the way she feels. People don't realize it but there is a fog that surrounds you to buffer the pain. Nobody knows what it feels like until they have lived it. The fact that this is her second time going through a tragic loss of a husband is heartbreaking. Sometimes it is like a scab over a wound that hardens and she probably feels she has no patience for nonsense and for her daughter throwing away her life or what she sees as a mistake. I am not saying, I liked what she did. She was harsh in her words. But I can understand her mental state.

And the way he watched her before he said that...it left no doubt he was falling in deeper!

I was disappointed to see what she did in ep 15. It was distasteful and I felt so bad for Dong. But I will forgive because the chemistry is beautiful otherwise. The best friend voiced everything I am sure most of felt watching.

I didn't mind the mother in BCE that much. She did one crazy thing but she loved her children and not a bad person. I don't mind this mother that much either. She just lost her husband to a sudden death and she has so many things going on inside of her. I have been there. And you are right. The mother in FOMH was the worse. She was evil.
