This page is full of comments about the optimum timing for ABAY or comments wanting this to be the best Xu Kai drama or some who want this drama to air at a later date so as not to have a dry Seven spell this year. I have never seen a page discuss the best time for a drama's release as much as this page😂

I felt bad for him too. It was too much. After the scandal with the single mother, they should have reconciled and faced problems together till the end.

The dialogue is meaningful though. You should try watching the last 2 episodes. I think they stretched out the separation too long. But the words at the end is meaningful. ML said he missed those simple days

It does. And I see the message. But it was tough and I feel after that hot hotel bedroom scene in ep 1 they should have shown more sweet scenes but it was one conflict on top of another. But still a good drama with a nice ending.

After watching the last 2 episodes with subtitles, I believe the message is that there is good in everyone so much so that people came to offer kind words for the father. We saw that he was good to Ke. Sometimes people don't show what is in their heart and they allow their prides to take over. This is the case of the father. I am not justifying his obnoxious actions. I am just saying there was good in him. But his pride was his downfall.

Well, I am done. After watching the last two episodes with subtitles this time, I feel this drama's strength is it's final message. I love that the family came together at the end. The message that ordinary people must live their lives the best they can making a living honestly and supporting each other as family is a valuable one. At first I was disappointed not to see enough of the romance but now I feel there is something here more than just sweet romance. It is more about the struggles and challenges marriages and families face. I am leaving my rating at 8.5. I would raise it but I am still frustrated with the conflicts piled up on top of another and still feel we needed more relief in between. However, the ML's undying devotion to his wife made me love him.

I saw the last two episodes without subtitles but was wondering what they found so good about him. I guess the point is there is good in everyone because there was something for some to love him. He was good to Ke.

I watched the last 2 episodes RAW but I got the gist of it. Going to watch with subtitles now. Just came in here to say that and saw the rating dropped. LOL! These writers/directors should know what people want by now. At least a hug from the couple would have been nice.

I don’t understand your response about ZMY. I honestly do not understand what you are saying. What does ZMY have to do with HL? All I am saying is that I loved HL for the drama itself including the chemistry between the leads and the family members and friendships and overall vibe of HL which is quite unique. I didn’t watch it because Lusi is the FL.

When I first saw ZMY, I was shocked. But for whatever reason she was chosen, I was so disappointed and it is just my reaction. Noooooo!

I didn’t watch HL because of who the leads were. It was brought to my attention by a friend and once it started it I was hooked. Rewatched each episode daily and the full drama as soon as I finished the final episode. I can only speak for myself that I didn’t love HL because of who the leads were but for the whole drama itself including the family chemistry and visuals. Your comment that HL’s popularity is due to who the leads were is your opinion and not founded on fact.

??? I knew right from the start that Victor Ma was not going to be SY. I have no doubt BJT will be excellent as always. My preference for Mai Mai over ZMY is because Mai Mai is in my opinion a more natural actress. I watched ZMY in both WIFTY and EF and didn’t bother to watch Sweet Trap.

Maybe some were initially pulled toward HL for the cast but the drama itself is what made it so popular. When you see the many KDrama fans say it was the first CDrama they have ever watched and loved it as much as any of us CDrama fans, it is indicative that it is not the popularity of the actors. I was not active on t Mydramalist at the HL came out. I would only check this site for listings and details on dramas. I joined because of HL and wanting to comment and write a review. It was a friend who told me about the just released HL and WIFTY. I watched both at the same time but it was HL that totally captivated me. I was surprised to see the negativity and controversial comments against HL and I read that Lusi has some anti fans in China.

This is why there is an ongoing debate as to slow burn vs fast paced. I can see both sides.
