The couple would meet so that the ML could help the FL improve her gaming skills since she sponsored a gaming company and her manager or someone said she could play well. That was the reason for them to meet again. It is really about how them grew to love each as she accepted him for who he was while others tried to get him to pursue other career options that would make him more money. As a highly intelligent man, he could have been richer but he chose to follow a path in service to his country as a space engineer or something like that. I loved the relationship between the leads.

I loved BEITD. I just don't know why the screen writer would change the ending of the book to a ending that upset so many. The ending is the reason the rating dropped. It is the reason I am not sure I will watch again. But I still kept the rating of 10 because of the acting and everything else.

Maybe it is the winter theme that makes this similar. The romance was tepid compared to AASOL. Jin Mai is so much more believable in romance roles than the actress in RH. But it is good you found another drama you like as much as AASOL.

He is JUST a TEEN with NO dad .. from a poor family .. with the burden of supporting the family .. doesn't take a penny .. misses a year of school .. still tops the college entrance exam ..
His STANCE is one of : stay out of my orbit .. I have things on my mind and I agenda to fulfil in my quest for this FUTURE VISION of building a company that would HELP CANCER patients get the drugs and treatment that is the latest in the world .. by creating a system for INFORMATION sharing ...

That is what he really was for Zhu Yun - she found her identity and strength through him otherwise she would have led the life of a puppet - her mom being the puppeteer. That relationship was far from toxic- yeah they went through some really bad stuff but they were there for each other. I found Li Xun’s character to be very pitiable and someone who had gone through so much in life. And he really took care of the people he liked . And everyone tried to help him in the end- if he were toxic or a narcissist- thAt would not have happened. And what support characters are these? - Gao, Xu Lina, Fang or Zhu Yun’s toxic /abusive mother (parents). This drama was about the strong leads and their story - not the side characters. The leads’ relationship was not at all toxic. The FL was a very strong woman who knew what she wanted and went after it. The ML respected her for who she was. This was a power couple on the making. A relationship is not just kisses and roses- and what they went through had so many external factors attached to it- so you cannot blame either of them. I have defended this drama one more time here. It’s one of my all time favorites - the best modern C- drama I have watched . So nuanced and deep!"

With AASOL, I wanted more. Where is the wedding? I would have loved to see them with children.
