Why do you have a hard time if someone wants to watch a different drama? I lost interest in S&F. It is not because of the genre. At ep 30 I didn't care to watch it anymore. I was also watching Love Endures at the same time and I finished it. S&F falls in the romance genre and has even more romance than Love Endures. There is no right or wrong here.
I watched this drama months ago and now rewatching it because I remember finding it funny. I didn't like the ML having so many wives but it was obvious who he really loved and eventually the misunderstanding was cleared up. I loved the FL because her personality was bold and excellent in martial arts.
And the book confirmed it for me. Now when I watch again I see it all clearly. He was quite emotional after thanking her for giving her life to him even though he didn't have much.
When I first watched it I wondered if they did anything in the car after he lowered the back of his seat and took her hand. Notice the way her eyes widened when she turned around and looked at him. Then the scene switched to the exterior of the car. Notice it switches to later and she is on the driver's side of the car. Pay attention to the text he sent her after. Also the allusions to the Titanic also in the book. In the book this is the first time they slept together. Notice the car is all steamed up and she puts her handprint on the window. Have you seen the Titanic? Iconic scene!

I watched it a while ago before registering on MDS. I just realized I did not rate it. This is a 10 for me even though it left me gutted. I was so invested and the ML is one of the most charismatic characters ever! I watched this after watching Forever and Ever and even knowing how it ended, I was still devastated and had to rewatch Forever and Ever right away. Amazing drama!

In One and Only the leads did not get together. The ML was one of the most charismatic characters I have ever seen. His tragic end left me gutted. There is more romance in Sword and Fairy than in One and Only. After the two episodes that were released after that first 3 day break I decided to put it on hold until more episodes were released. I watched a few more episodes and stopped at 30. I have watched all different dramas and felt invested throughout, but with S&F I wanted to rush to the ending to get it over with. It is just the way I felt. I have watched all genres not all romance-focused and still felt invested till the end. Therefore to say I lost interest because this has a sad ending or it was not romance-focused would not be correct.

When S&F came out there were some ratings of 1. I was one of the people objecting and reporting these people along side some of the more vocal Xu Kai fans here. But recently I noticed a couple of the biggest Xu Kai fans here went into Amidst A Snowstorm of Love and gave it ratings of 1 in their dropped watchlist then they wrote negative reviews and gave it ratings of 2 to 3. How hypocritical is that? By the way, it seems you can rate a drama twice if you write a review.

I have watched tragic dramas. Nothing is more tragic than One and Only and yet it was so beautiful. Maybe it is as some say. The first 3 day break might have been the reason I lost interest especially when the first two episodes after the break did not make me want to continue.
