I came in when the episodes were up to around ep 29 I think and the FL was frustrating many. It seems to me people were just venting frustrations with the way she was not open with the ML but on overall many here seem happy with the show especially as the ending was happy and satisfying.
Personally, I loved the chemistry between the leads. Loved the way this "cold" CEO made the meals then looked horrified when the FL suggested she would make them. LOL!
I think I missed that part. I will catch it on the rewatch. She was probably running away from her problems. It is a good thing she was so smart at work.

I like Miles but not familiar with this actress. Sometimes certain things can spoil it for us. With OFL, I read so many complaints and expected the worse and it wasn't so bad but it just took a long time to get to the truth about the niece. But you are not alone for sure with your reaction to the script with the FL. Even those who enjoyed the show found her frustrating.
Considering she is a smart reporter, you would think she had better communication skills to explain her actions to him. I know he blocked her but when she made it into his office and then ended up walking out with nothing resolved I was just so irritated. This is what he meant when he told the reporters right after that the companies need to work things out and not just run away from the problem.

I think they are not allowed talking about reincarnation in China, so that was minimized. The young cousin was the reincarnation of the boy emperor he gave his life for. I was afraid to watch One and Only so I watched Forever and Ever first. Afterwards I wanted to know more about the couple so I watched One and Only. Even know how it ended before hand left me so devastated for days. I loved the ML. He was the perfect hero. I was screaming at him to be selfish for once. But I was glad I watched it because I went right back to Forever and Ever and rewatched it and there were so many significant aspects that I did not notice before. The FL's name was Shi Yi which is 11 in Chinese. She was the 11th disciple. Did you notice in Forever and Ever that the ML's best friend who was the attorney also fell in love with Shi Yi? He told her that he always looks out for the ML and perhaps he owes him something from his past life. He was the reincarnation of the Crowned Prince who had him dismembered. And there is more. That show is so deep.
Look after episodes 25 I get what they want to add to our Main characters…. she’s 25 and never been in healthy-mature…
I found the ML quite attractive as he contemplated the situation while he waited for her to communicate with him about her real feelings. I was busy watching him so maybe that is why Shu Yi didn't bother me so much expect for the time she went to his office and he could have used a hug right there but she was feeling too guilty to face him about their relationship.

Whenever I recommend One and Only to anyone, I feel guilty because I know how it left me devastated and I watched it after I already saw Forever and Ever.
