I honestly have no idea. But my guess is, if it's going to be picked up by a legal OTT, and it didn't go straight to Netflix or Prime, it may be more likely to eventually be picked up by Viki, although they may have to wait on licensing. But idk.
I'm just really hoping they pick it up, like they finally did for The Deal.

Idk why I put off watching this for so long!? I just binged it in less than 2 days. Absolutely loved it.
And I'm probably going to go ahead & rewatch it now. 👀😅

Title Awaken
Never listen to reviews until you watch yourself. I read reviews on asianwiki that it was dragging and boring…
I kept putting it off too... but then I ended up binging it in less than 2 days. lol 😍
Now I'm kinda mad I waited so long before watching it!

It's no coincidence that the plot reminded you of "Blind Date". The K-movie is a remake. :)
I figured as much 😊

First time seeing Won Bin 🔥
Wow~ He really did the action scenes justice. I'm impressed!

The bond he developed with the little girl was precious- probably why he went all out just to save her. 🥹

So Ji Sub was great. Story was decent. Enjoyable, even if kind of predictable.
There's one thing I don't quite understand.

Was the ending a flashback or a continuation of events? Because if its not a flashback, I'm wondering how on earth is he not in jail after all of that?! Guess he would've had to make one heck of a deal with the cops/prosecution. 😅
At least it was nice to see him finally give a genuine smile at the end. Even if it was just a flashback. Means he wasn't always cold-hearted. Which I guess makes it sadder. 🥺

Either way, it would've been nice to know what Ra Hoon was up to after all that; how his life turned out. But oh well. 🤷‍♀️

When I read the plot for this, it reminded me of the 2015 french movie Blind Date [Un peu, beaucoup, aveuglément], which I had enjoyed.

I had fun watching the relationship between Seung Jin & Ra Ni evolve & grow. 🥰
It's not a deep movie, a little funny, not all that romantic. Felt more like enemies becoming friends which turned into a kind of love & appreciation for eachother. It's a nice easy watch.

Yamada Ryosuke should take more anti-hero roles like this. He is fascinating as B1.
agree 💯

I genuinely liked this one, it had its own flaws, but I found it increasingly entertaining. Also Yamada Ryosuke…
After seeing him in this role, I would LOVE to see him play a villain!!!!

Agree 💯
I just finished this drama & I'm literally in awe. Yamada Ryosuke's acting blew me away. I loved how the drama in the drama had drama. 😅 No, but really, I loved all the plot twists, even if some were a bit exaggerated or crazy. It kept me seated & hooked. I loved every minute of it, & felt the ending was perfect. Not rushed, & wrapped up. I wasn't left with lots of unanswered questions - unlike so many other dramas I've seen lately. I gave this a 10/10. I think it's my favorite jdrama now!

So, I apologize. lol. I finally realize that's what you meant. 😅 - At the end they publicly blamed the professor for JiHoon's death [led everyone to believe it it was true], although it was not.

...I've been so tired lately, and I guess I just wasn't connecting what you had said. Sorry! 🫣

Yeah, the higher ups purposely reported it in a way that mislead the public into believing it was the professor. They had to cover for the corrupt evil woman with connections, of course. 🙄 I think the cyber girl even commented on how wrong it was to do that to the professor yet again, just like when his daughter died. They had defamed him back then too.
