All the episodes have not aired yet. Most of us are upto Ep 21. The storyline does differ from novel so we cant exactly compare chapter by chapter. But from what I have gathered so far, they cant complete first book in this season since there are many things left to do so far with Tang San's character and only around 19 episodes left. If you dont want to start before knowing this, you should wait for a week for this to finish airing

There was a press conference to confirm Season 2 of JOL but Xiao Zhan was not there. I heard strong rumors that they are at least replacing him which made me no longer as much interested about season 2 because I know his character is a crucial part in the coming season and I dont know how I will feel with someone else playing it

Its a Fantasy drama with some great cinematography and CGI especially if you look w.r.t Chinese dramas. About Xiao Zhan, I really loved the way he acted so far and also loved the way he looked doing it. Of course some novel/anime fan have pointed out changes from source material. If you havent read the novel, then go with a open mind. Its been a fun ride so far. So far it has been about developing the team so if you like those kinds of drama, this could be a enjoyable watch for you

There are actually 3 couples but the romance is very subtle and is at initial stage. Although you can expect some strong moments to come later (I have completed till Ep 21 only) . But the main focus here is on Team building, character development and friendship. There are some really cute moments sprinkled throughout the series though.

Did anyone see Valentine's day interview of Tangsan by Xiao Zhan. Its really cute. Tangsan and Xiao Wu are the end game. I am probably in minority here who really likes the innocence and sweetness of their relationship

Actually for China and some countries like Thailand, you can pay extra(around 1 dollar per episode) and watch upto Ep 23. But this is not available in most of the countries. Check your Wetv App to see

Yeah I cant compare exactly as I dont focus on other drama ratings. But there is something called prosperity index in china which measures dramas overall performance and this one croseed 2.9 recently - highest for this year. For reference, Untamed reached 4 -4.5 at its highest. This one has lot of episodes left so lets see.
Also Untamed just crossed 9 Billion views last week. But that was a pure web drama so I am not sure if keep it as a benchmark is ok. Someone from China must be able to tell better.

It has crossed 770 million views on tencent as of now. Not sure about other platforms but on CCTV8 4.75 million people live streamed today's episode although this doesnt get included in the final rating as that only consider people watching on TV

They did an interview today on CCTV8 with Xiao Zhan and the original author of the Novel. The author was all praises for the show and said that Xiao Zhan is the perfect Tang San. I don't have the weibo link but here is the screenshot of what was posted on the CCTV Weibo channel

The OST "The youth on a horse" by Xiao Zhan is really powerful. I do question some of the music choices for this drama but this OST is amazing. Totally captures the mood of the drama. I have been listening to it many times since yesterday

Its better this way actually. I regretted watching them because I would have preferred to be surprised with tomorrow's episode
