I will give this a try, I know the synopsis seems cliche but as long as the script is not cringe it can still work. I don't really mind toxic ML and doormat FL as long as done correctly haha and I would like some angst and towards some point see the ML suffer. Let's see how this one goes.
finally caught up with the latest ep. I love this so much, I hope they'll return for a new season. I love their friendship and genuine laughter, you can tell they are so comfortable around each other. This show format would not have worked or would have been boring if they put casts who do not know each other, but because they are close friends they have such good chemistry. I don't even understand Yut Nori game but I was laughing so much with them. It must be amazing having a friendgroup like this in real life.
I'm on ep2 and I'm really enjoying this. It's not over the top comedy with crazy antics, but more like a healing show with genuine funny moments. I'm loving how they blend with each other. KiBang really looks like a farmer ahjussi, I love how cheerful he is and laughs at everything WoBin is like a rich city boy who got sent to the countryside as punishment, he complains a lot but surprisingly it's not annoying and he does contribute KyungSoo is like that farmer's son who's hardworking and smart but also quiet, it feels like he kinda forgets they're shooting sometimes with how focus he is with the task And KwangSoo, well KwangSoo is Kwangsoo, he's like the crazy bestfriend of the cityboy, always brings in hilarious scenarios haha
As a Dylan and BaiLu (and even Miles!) fan, it pains to have to drop this. The story feels really juvenile. At the moment I'm liking the maturity in Rising with the Wind more, but let's see if it can also sustain that.
Honestly, only Lee JungHye is the smart one in the villain team. The ex-bf is such a loser who always look constipated, and his sister is dumb greedy, YooRa is arrogantly dumb, and DoGuk's brother is just pathetic. They all bark and sneer and then they get served five minutes later.lol They are seriously outnumbered by the other side, specially DoGuk's fam, his Mom by herself is already a force to reckon with.
I thought I'd be frustrated by today's episode but I'm glad it ended positively. This is the good thing about this drama, it's full of cliche but it doesn't drag. There is always a hurdle each episode but they always end satisfyingly.
I also wonder what happened to ChungAh's mom, so I rewatched the clip. My initial assumption is perhaps her Mom cheated on her Dad (given that he's always on business trips), hence it was a bitter divorce where she wasn't allowed to visit her daughter anymore.
But after rewatching, I have some doubts that that lady is even her biological Mom. Kinda strange that the same day the 'ex wife' supposedly left is the same day the new 'bad tutor' arrived. This makes me conclude that the first lady is actually not ChungAh's real Mom but also just another tutor. And when ChungAh's dad found out that she was teaching ChungAh sign language and also projecting herself as her Mom, the Dad didn't like it so she got fired.
And then comes immediately the new tutor, and because she was a liar that she can teach ChungAh to talk and the Dad thought she's making progress, the Dad officially recognised them in the family registry so ChungAh can atleast have one present parent. Maybe the incident with the first tutor made the Dad realise that ChungAh needs a mother figure and the 'bad tutor/stepmom' was able to fake it.
am I the only one wondering about what happened to Cheong Ah's mom?
ohh I just commented above this too haha

The Dad seemed to me a logical and not really a bad person, so I still doubt that even if there was bitter divorce, he would have still allowed ChungAh to meet her Mom. spolier alert ig?she's the head of the maids ig, not the step mom, cus in the 15th episode, the chairman fires…
But isn't she the Chairwoman in the school where CheongAh studies? I remember something where they referred to CheongAh as the step daughter of the Chairwoman. Plus her kids address Cheong Ah's dad as their dad.
I haven't caught up with the latest episodes yet, but I found a clip that the stepmother is actually only a housekeeper. What is she exactly? In the original timeline it seems thay it's her kids who inherited the company.
I'm happy Sunghoon is getting recognition again. I first saw him year 2011 in his debut drama New Tales of Gisaeng. His acting wasn't the best but you have to admit he's one of the best looking K-actors. Sometimes I feel bad he never really made it big, like GongYoo or Dongwook big. He picked several bad projects through the years. He seemed like a very humble and chill guy, but I guess acting isn't really a passion for him.
I really can't get over the fact that the ML is dressed like a Boomer. There is literally no reason for this -…
That's also the first thing I noticed, the suit is way too loose for him. And he already did so many other CEO roles where he was dressed perfectly, so it's not like there is no reference. I guess it's not an issue of budget but rather the decision taken by the stylist. It may look Boomer style but there is an upcoming trend like this, it's just not mainstream yet. I still wish they stayed with the classic CEO style though.
been a year, still haven't found anything that gave me the same feels as this one. too many anticipated dramas dropped this past year but they still fell short.

They make me wanna go farming too.

will give ep1 a try
I just can't get myself to care about their stories, and it's always that trope of bestfriend of the FL who is liberated, always at the bar and dates a lot. I always feel like hitting skip skip.
This is why I love series like Lighter & Princess where it is straightforward and focuses on the main couple.
Sometimes I feel bad he never really made it big, like GongYoo or Dongwook big. He picked several bad projects through the years. He seemed like a very humble and chill guy, but I guess acting isn't really a passion for him.
