A tad mad they didn't pose Zhou Ye better for the poster shot in the red and black outfit. Neo gets a nice dynamic pose with his not-sword but Zhou Ye is giving off some "I'm sure standing here" energy.

Bai Xiaolu (the rescued fox demon) disappears from the novel once they rescue her and her dead mom is satisfied enough to move on, but I'm curious if they're going to do more with her/the character whose maybe going to take her place. I'm guessing our three couples are our dear mains Yan Hui and Tian Yao, the side couple Xian Ge and Feng Qianshou, and Zhuli and Huan Xiaoyan. Oh, and there's also Pu Fang and Xi Feng but they're like a side side couple

No, Su Ying and Yan Hui are two separate characters. When Su Ying dismembered Tian Yao he sent his heart protection scale flying so she couldn't complete the dragon scale armor, and the scale ended up in Yan Hui's heart, who was a baby at the time.

Nah, Su Ying is one of the antagonists and she stays that way. She's never even apologetic about what she did to Tian Yao, instead too busy clinging to the remnants of her actual beloved.

As for Tian Yao and Yan Hui (ML and FL respectively), Yan Hui is probably going to get human trafficked into meeting and marrying Tian yao again like in the novel lol. We see the events surrounding that in the trailer so I'm like 90% certain their meeting is kept the same as in the novel. As for Tian Yao seeking revenge, he wants it, but getting his body parts back is whats taking first priority for him.

Ironically, Su Ying's beloved got decapitated on the battlefield (he was a general) when she was off getting the dragon scale armor. So not only was it useless (bc it was incomplete without the heart protection scale) but Su Ying's beloved was way beyond the point of saving.

All these details are from the novel. Tian yao and Su Ying were indeed in a relationship prior to the story proper, but it was incredibly one sided because Su Ying seduced Tian yao for ulterior motives.

They broke up because Su Ying lured Tian Yao to her sect to ambush him because she wanted his dragon scales. She completely dismembered him and sealed his body parts away in the five elements, because she was afraid if she killed him his dragon scale powers wouldn't work anymore. She wanted the scales for her actual lover who was another guy, to make him impervious to harm.

Well that was before the story proper and neither party wants back in a relationship so more like just a past relationship that ended pretty badly

Tian Yao's ex (Su Ying) seduced and betrayed him so she could get close enough to strip him of his dragon scales. She did this because his dragon scales are very powerful and would've made her actual lover basically impervious to harm.

Good for TTEOTM then, though now I still wonder if Youku is going to save Anle for the big summer slot.

Both melons are unlikely, as Q1 is basically done and the CGI rumor was apparently from back in Feb when Youku was going to air Huxin but had to air Starry and tried using Huxin's CGI as an excuse. The best guess I've seen for why TTEOTM is airing is because of potential new regulations for longer dramas, but thats still a melon.

The best guess I've seen so far for airing date order is: TTEOTM (I'd say basically confirmed at this point), BFTB, TTEOTM Pt 2 (if it still has a pt 2), then legend of anle.

Since ZZH's scandal, his disappearance from the internet, and his "reappearance", there's been a split in his fanbase. ZZH's instagram got reactivated and on there there was a handwritten letter posted about his scandal that implied Gong Jun had something to do with the scandal. The fans who believe this is really ZZH basically took this and ran, hence the Gong Jun hate. Mind you, this letter didn't provide any evidence and there's been suspicious behavior from the insta as well.

The other half of his fanbase doesn't believe that ZZH is the one running the reactivated instagram for several reasons, one of which being the course of action to reactivate his insta before his name has been officially cleared objectively isn't a good idea, the content posted there is... weird about showing his face (and there's also physique discrepancies), and the only other source that supported ZZH getting his name cleared that was reliable was silenced.

Basically its a portion of ZZH's fanbase falling for easy, vague bait, which is pretty shameful ngl.

Jumping in here to add additional context, there's been a "split" in ZZH's fandom since the scandal, where some fans believe that ZZH has regained an internet presence and others do not. The former are the ones who are Gong Jun haters while the latter group are suspicious around the circumstances of his reactivated instagram and ah... lets just say the choices of what's been posted there as well as the logic of the decisions.

The main problem with LBFAD was that it didn't have enough room to properly end, so you can REALLY tell they compressed the ending. They still wrapped up the main plot points in there but you can FEEL that they don't have the space to let the audience's emotions breathe before they have to close the drama off. Also I personally stand by that cutting Danyin and Xunfeng's romance was a detriment, mainly to Danyin, because that would've had more potential to do more with her being half-Moon Tribe.

IMO if they're smart and don't wanna work too hard to make the story acceptable to air, they should crib off of LBFAD. The script doesn't need to be earth-shattering, Nobel-Prize winning literature, it'd just need to be decent (which ik is a tall order for some scriptwriters sigh).

On the bright side at least the aesthetics look good? I'm hoping having to change the story does this drama some good. In LBFAD having the Moon Tribe instead of the Demon Tribe was a benefit because it gave the Moon Tribe a distinct aesthetic and culture that separated them from every other Xianxia group that wears black and is false villainized by the heavenly realm-adjacent characters.
