I feel like whoever starts that rumour alongside with the CGi's stuff is trying to insulting this drama. There…
I agree (abt youku being a terrible platform) and also that the CGI thing not making much sense. It'd be not just expensive but a pain in the ass to redo. It's also good to hear the trailer CGI got a lot of praise. I really can't fathom why they'd blow their load with TTEOTM so early. You'd think they'd be more careful with it if its their Big Drama Of This Year. You're right though, it's not worth the effort to try to decipher why nonsensical people (or a nonsensical company in this case) does nonsense things.
According to melons from TTEOTM's page, alongside needing CGI rework Youku also needs a better financial report for the first quarter, hence airing TTEOTM
The rumors for Till the end of the moon are picking up, seems like a pretty good sign it'll air instead. Sigh. Well if we get this in summer at least I'll be free to let it take up my entire brain????
Will this follow the plot of the novel? I heard that many people don't like the plot of the novel, especially…
I've read part of the novel (still getting through it, its beefier than what I usually read), and it seems this might follow a looser approximation of the novel plot. That its a romcom is already a pretty good hint that it's probably not going to 100% follow the novel plot because the male lead is basically a misogynist and the romance plot doesn't really gain traction until super late in the novel.
1. There's no twin in the novel, it's a classic transmigration from modern times into a novel set in ancient China…
Yeah, the tone is quite different too. The novel was a LOT heavier with its subject matter, so I'm curious how the more romcom angle is going to tackle this if it does at all.
For someone who has read the novel, can you please give me some spoilers!! 1. Does the other "evil" twin make…
1. There's no twin in the novel, it's a classic transmigration from modern times into a novel set in ancient China story. The og owner of the body, Nie Sangyu, is around in the novel in that she appears as a sort of spirit and influences Ji Man's emotions and actions at times since they share a body, but that's as far as her influence goes. 2. Again, no twin plot in the novel. Nie Sangyu was second female lead in the in-universe novel Ji man was reading, and at the end of her arc (where she was told to hang herself by our dear male lead), she pulled Ji Man into the story out of desperation. So that's up in the air still. 3. Ji Man has no bond with the male lead initially, he's more of an antagonist for 90% of the novel lmfao until their relationship actually starts to make progress and he gets his act together. 4. Good/bittersweet ending for the novel, Ji Man eventually goes back to modern times when her life in the novel is over after living good with male lead. Nie Sangyu eventually moves on, she was effectively dead anyway. The reasons for her extreme actions is that in the novel, Nie Sangyu's stepmother hates her so she grew up pretty much unloved, and latched onto the male lead as a result. She did succeed into strong-arming him into marriage, but on their wedding night he undermined her position as official wife by leaving her alone to rescue a bedwarmer that fell in the lake. In reaction she dismissed all the bedwarmers which upset the male lead and basically collapsed their relationship for good. He brought in new concubines, one of which Nie Sangyu attacked and scarred the face of. She tried to act as the typical perfect little wife to please him and then kept acting out when that didn't work, so eventually he demoted her to concubine. It was just a terrible match, honestly. Neither of them had the skills to make this relationship work.
i’m going to give the writer the benefit of the doubt and hope they don’t make the real NSY evil and cruel.…
Gonna tiptoe around spoilers here, but I hope they keep how nuanced NSY was in the novel. She did bad things that did rightfully earn her a lot of ill will, but it was easy to understand why her reactions were what they were once some context was added. I'm a little afraid that if they strip away that surrounding context they're just going to make NSY look purely unhinged instead.
if its following the novel, she is an antagonist. She was intended to be the og female lead a la Romance of Tiger…
I meant that both Wen Wan and Chuchu lost their female lead position in their respective stories to the person who transmigrated, because this person messed with the relationship development between the og female and male lead.

No direct relation, just similar plot premise and Ding Yuxi looks distractingly like when he played Han Shuo. Romance of Tiger and Rose was heavier on the romcom elements while Dreamer in the Spring Boudoir (the novel of this drama) was heavier on political intrigue and strategy. Though it appears that this drama might've been sanitized in favor of pushing a more lighthearted vibe so it might also feel similar to Tiger and Rose too.

No, I don't know. I'm actually not sure who is the second male lead bc it seems the guy who is the second male lead in the novel might've been changed.
I've finished reading the novel and now I'm more impatient. It is such a beautiful story that I hope it reflects…
As long as they don't fuck around and use the screentime unwisely I estimate they'll be able to cover everything. They might even have room for expansion. I remember my main issue with Love Between Fairy and Devil was that they hit everything but with only 36 episodes they had to put the finale at essentially fast-forward and didn't give it enough room to breathe, so this having 40 episodes gives me hope this won't have the same issue.
