I understand your sentiments, but this drama is based on a real-life case. The case is famous in South Korea for exposing the injustice and flaws in the system, and so this drama essentially focuses on that, rather than being a typical whodunnit. In real life too, the bad guys escaped. To rewrite that part would be to disrespect the actual victims and people involved, who suffered for years. The bitter aftertaste and discomfort is precisely what the show goes for :)

Well-articulated and intelligent criticism will not be appreciated or even comprehended on this page, it seems. I'm still on the fence about watching this one, but just seeing the absolute herd mentality and the suppressing of any contradictory opinions here is enough to make me never watch it.
