Sigh, yet another person who cannot think critically. Where did I say I "hate women of other body types"? Y'all love putting words in other people's mouths. Take some time to read my previous comments and you'll better understand my point.
Clearly you lack the critical thinking skills to take apart a term used online and decipher the actual meaning of it. I won't bother discussing this matter any further with you.
How am I body shaming? I don't like how actresses are forced to lose weight constantly, and I don't like how the media pushes unrealistic standards of weight on young girls and women using them. I have no issues with actual skinny women themselves, obviously, being one myself. I have every issue with the system that creates a select group of them, and places them in positions of influence and prominence. You're free to virtue signal all you want, but don't make assumptions about me based off a comment, and throw words like body shaming around carelessly.
If it was anywhere between 7.5-8 I would have ignored the ratings and watched it. But the 7.2 is raising my suspicions. Is it really that bad? All I require is a coherent plot, good execution, and tied up loose ends. Please let me know!
I haven't watched this one yet, but definitely check out WOTI!!! It was absolutely gripping. Not in the flashy,…
I didn't want to elaborate and spoil things for OP. But I agree with you; I too sensed the romantic tension, although it was done very differently than we are used to in Kdramas. Very mature and nuanced. However, I will still not call their bond romantic, and thus resort to just calling it complicated. I think there is no need to mislead viewers by touting it as a romantic show, given what the term romance connotes in this space.
Besides the recommendations listed here (I've already watched 3 of them), does anyone know of anything similar…
I haven't watched this one yet, but definitely check out WOTI!!! It was absolutely gripping. Not in the flashy, american drama sort of way, but you'll find yourself feeling as hounded into a corner and desperate as the main leads themselves. What I liked best of all was the nature of the relationship between the two leads. Very complicated in a new way (that is, not a shred of romance). Bonus points for the lovely OST that I find myself humming even today.
hii baby :3 If you want a law drama that's heavy on debate & criminal cases then don't watch it, this is a family court drama, so it focuses on domestic cases (which is basically just relatives arguing and fighting). But if you like slice of life then this is pretty good, it follows the judges' and lawyer's personal lives and how they navigate difficult cases. The romance is very minimal and slow burn, but honestly just watching them become friends is enjoyable enough.
Oh my god, I love this show so much. I thought it would just be a typical modern romance drama, but I think adding…
hey! I didn't expect this show to have any romance at all when I first planned to watch it. But now it seems like it does. What degree of romance is it? I don't expect it to be a main part of the plot, but is it just a subtle thing or are there also scenes solely devoted to developing the romantic relationship between the two?
Bonus points for the lovely OST that I find myself humming even today.

I'm so glad I decided to give it a chance!
