he take the drugs in a Gangnam's Brothel. Basically he take drugs and cheated on his wife at the same time.
Is there a link to the news source? I will wait for it to play out in legal channels; so often news organizations want to be the "first" and get the story wrong. (Not saying that is the case here.) But Innocent until proven guilty.
So far only marijuana has been mentioned; it is harmful to health and illegal so I understand why they are pursuing charges. (And you can't let someone get away with blackmailing you.) HOWEVER. This should not be an offense that gets your career cancelled.
that the antagonist wackadoo women in these dramas are literally crazy, lacking self-awareness and maturity? Why…
Right. I understand her perspective, it is not founded in reality. Rather than having a victim's mentality, she can empower herself and her family by finding concrete solutions rather than being bitter about her non-ideal situation. And as I write this, I can see I am taking it too seriously ;0) They have to drive the plot, somehow. I just wish it wasn't the same selfish, taking, female stereotype over and over.
that the antagonist wackadoo women in these dramas are literally crazy, lacking self-awareness and maturity? Why doesn't fl's Aunt get a job to help pay for family expenses? Steams me.
I have watched hundreds of dramas and very rarely use the terms "overrated" or "underrated" because not everyone shares the same measure of different aspects of each drama. But I have to comment on this drama as underrated because I believe that it is seriously underrated by any measure. The misunderstandings are short-lived and the series of "evil-doings" are quickly resolved one by one; it is makjang so obviously there are secrets that carry through out the story. The direction, writing and actors were superb and everyone was redeemable in the end. Not a rewatch for me, but I did give it a 9.0.
I found this drama to be delightful. Loved the leads, the story was innovative and an entertaining combo of romance, drama and comedy. I gave it a 9.5 which is exceedingly rare for me. (I am typically harsh in my ratings)
I have made a custom list titled REWATCH in my MDL account. It contains all of the shows that I have rewatched…
Go to your icon in the upper right margin of the mdl webpage and bring open the drop down menu. There is an option for "Custom List". Click on this and then fill in the options: show or people, title of list, private or public, etc. Let me know if you have any problems. (You can't see my list because I set it to Private)
I had higher expectations given the rating and raving comments; the leads and company were exceptional. It just didn't have the depth of story or heart that reply 88 or other slice of life dramas had. There was a lot of eating and band playing and endearing stories, yet everything was on a more superficial level than other slice of life dramas that I have enjoyed more. (replay 88, misaeng, prison playbook, even My Father is Strange) I gave it an 8.
I sure would love for MDL to have a separate REWATCH list so we could add the dramas and movies we've rewatched.…
I have made a custom list titled REWATCH in my MDL account. It contains all of the shows that I have rewatched or have a high value in a future rewatch. That is how I can keep track. (There is also a space for "comments" so you can put your episode and minute mark notes)
There are too many scenes of bad dancing; if only they had hired an actual dancer/choreographer to assist in the direction of those scenes, this would be a gem.
The cast is endearing (who saved the drama) and the story is predictable. I have watched many sports-centric dramas where the actors are not particularly gifted in the sport portrayed, but there were far fewer sports scenes which made those dramas more enjoyable to watch.

Joseph Chang's warm and adorable character.
