And my favorite thing is when the awful stepbrother is always swearing up and down the pike that he is going to kill the leads this time and how it fails every time. Just so great. Whenever he's on screen I am talking smack to him the whole time. What a putz.

Late to the game on this one and I am loving it. I struggled a bit early on when He Yan was not in General mode, as I found her character off putting with all the batting of the eyes and trying to finagle Xiao Jue all over the place. But when General mode hits, this show is pure fire. And I really do love the pace of their relationship. I thought I would be frustrated at the slow burn but not at all. I will be sad to see it end.

I am enjoying this show a lot, but please Xi Guang - zip up your damn coat. And maybe if you're going skiing, get a longer coat.

Same for me. They were ridiculous. And I liked the first episode. Next week, back to 2025 and the phones we all know and love.

I'm 67 and I'm having a fine time watching this show. And that's from someone who normally doesn't watch HS dramas.

I love this show and it's driving me mad that there is only one episode per week.

I'm with you about the anxiety from watching all the struggles. I grit my teeth and know it will work out somehow. I do like how the show balances it, though. I am beginning to trust in the director a bit more each episode.

Does anyone know what actually happened between DG and his half-brother? Looking for spoilers!

I should have dropped. I probably watched 10% of the last ten episodes.

God, how I love this show. It was what I hoped The Real Has Come would be and was not.

Here are some nicknames that my friend and I have cooked up as we text back and forth about the show:

Yoo Ra = Swamp Thing
Se Hyeok = Pie Face
Lee Jung Hye - Hatchet
Cha Yeon Hwa = Bouf (for the hairdo)
Do Na - Speed Racer
Jae Ho - Mork

I did not know that this was the show I've been waiting for. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it stays good.

I wouldn't use the word "suffer." For me, I want to see her understand the pain she caused and understand what she needs to do to assure TK if he wants to continue the relationship. I don't think her actions are unforgivable or outside the realm of normal human behavior.

I will say that the noble idiocy plot line is always a tough one for me, BUT... I gotta stick up for YD. Was her decision hurtful to those she loves? Yes, it was. Was she afraid for her baby (and TK) if she did not get out of that toxicity with JW? Maybe. Was she perhaps taking care of herself at the expense of others? Again, maybe. And if the last answer is yes, good for her. Her priority is the baby and herself. She, for sure, framed the letter to her family as a goodbye, but I keep coming back to her mom. All this time, she's been a fair weather parent, if you are good, I will love you, if you are not, then hell to pay. And even though YD obviously misses her mom, she calls her uncle when The Real is born, as he has always been on her side and rooted for her. Her mother cannot be trusted. And I absolutely support the mom's right to be as angry as possible at the ghosting but it might not have happened if she'd had made different choices. YD's choice was not made in a vacuum of selfishness. She was desperate.

And the real flaw in the writing will be if TK remains angelic as we move forward. Honestly, my expectations are low at this point. TK shouldn't blindly accept her back without telling her how devastated he was and being cautious about her future behavior. And YD should not have to prostrate herself with guilt in front of him. She took action that caused hurt to another and people make it past that all the time by apologizing, listening and making different choices. Fingers crossed.

I am SO excited for this to air. The new trailer is fantastic.

One of the characters dies in the first episode and becomes a "living corpse" and the inevitable happens. Still worth watching, it's beautiful.

I just had an epiphany on the tablecloth scene - they were making fun of this type of scene. Duh. Why does it take me so long to understand shit sometimes?
