How have I never watched this show in all my years of kdrama viewing? It's so freaking good. Every character is unique, the writing is great and Jung Kyung Ho with all his great coats. And one hundred other things. Captain Na is a good villain.

I hate the waiting on Saturday (EST in the US) for Sunday noon to come. I hate all the waiting but the day before seems worse.

I knew t fucking KJH work wasn't his, he was keeping him as ghost writer his writing went up when CJW stopped…
That reveal was so fulfilling. I thought - "you are a pure POS, you deserve nothing." I can't wait for him to get his.

Here comes the pain , EP 9 I must absolutely praise Peat's STELLAR performance. He really showed the trauma ,…
That's the scene that got me, too. Such a great job by Peat.

Maybe add a spoiler tag to your post?

A 37 year old woman acting like a teenager..... . ......the plot is so old and characters are not likable. It…
I think selfishness transcends age. My mother is selfish and she's 89. I like Yeo Reum because she's complicated. Definitely on the taking end of all her friendships and I hope that her journey over the show is that she realizes it and changes. I've had friends like her that I still loved even though I realized that I gave more than they did. I also hope that Jae Hoon realizes it, too.

That said, it is an old trope. I think the charm of all the actors carries it.

Prapai, I understand that you were not able to forget Sky after THAT scene 🔥🔥🔥Loved the episode. I would…
I couldn't even watch that chicken dance. FF all the way. When those school activities come up, I cringe.
I don't often yell "I hate you" at a screen but I did during that conversation between In and Mol. The actress is doing a fine job portraying a miserable person who is lonely, longing for love and admiration and has no idea how cruel she is. And I hate her. She spreads the vitriol of her narcissism in almost every encounter she has.

And if Wang suffers his father's fate... I don't even want to think about it.
This show slays me every week. And I so appreciate all the insightful and thoughtful comments about each episode from everyone.

What stuck with me this week was how both actors held space for each other. There are so many moments one of them is listening so intently to the other and it is riveting. The listening is so filled with love and longing, it almost hurts. And when In is so willing to answer Wang's questions in the first part of the episode, I kept thinking how much Wang needed to have a conversation that was devoid of all the mine fields he has with his mother. Her selfishness is highlighted in this scene and she's not even there.

And that mother - I dread her coming back. I just dread it.

AMAZING EP 5!! I can't believe I would find just 2 guys having a conversation over wine to be sooo freaking absorbing.…
Such an excellent point about the flashbacks. I am so SICK of BLs and Kdramas using that device to tell a story. All you need is good writing!

Yes I know In is a complicated human being but Wang's mother is the most confusing character here. It's obvious…
The mother is selfish and narcissistic. She loves nothing better than having all eyes and attention on her and all conversations to be about her and her needs and desires. Wang's birthday party is even about her.

There are flashes of a less guarded and manipulative person in there but most of the time she doesn't truly think of anyone else but herself. At first I just found her irritating, now I find her a bit scary.

Does anyone else have the feeling that mom is the one who planned everything and is slowly directing the show?…
Dang it! If this is true, then, holy cow. I've got the shakes.

I'm also the person who can never guess the end of the mystery novel. I thought that it was just a legit portrait of their daughter that they were paying for.

It's only 12 episodes so perhaps it won't lose steam like most of these 16 episode kdramas.
I'm so glad it's only 12. I wish all kdramas would restrict themselves to 12. Alchemy of Souls - my goodness - 20 and still going. I fast forwarded through so much of that. Filler scene after filler scene. E-gads.

I don't think In Joo has the $70MM, only $2MM that could fit in the duffle bag.

OK, I am loving this show. So twisty and creepy and well done. Director Shin is (was!) one nasty dude - that scene at Jin Hwayoung's apartment where he backs her up against the wall - dang. And then sending the red shoes. I love seeing that actor in that role after his role in Uncle.

Ha Jong Ho's house has a blue orchid! What does that mean? Is his grandfather in on all the shenanigans? Or is he?

And I am always bad at guessing stuff but never saw it coming that Oh In Hye was painting that portrait for the other girl to submit in a competition. That is one awful family.
