As I mentioned, this review will keep changing as I continue watching, but I still think first impressions deserve…
yeah it does feel kinda random but as I said I’m looking forward to the fun and chaos it might bring and how it could help the leads grow closer

Yeah I have a feeling that William will sabotage their connection due to fear but I hope not...
I get why people think he might sabotage it again, that risk is definitely there. But I’m kinda hopeful this time because he’s more aware of his patterns now, and Izaya is way more direct and won’t just let him disappear like before. And even if William does disappear again, at least Izaya will know he truly tried this time and won’t be stuck with the same “what if.” It could still go badly, but that “will he finally grow or not” tension is exactly why I’m invested and want to see how it plays out...

And also one more thing about William, what really made me feel for him is that he clearly has avoidant tendencies but at the same time desperately needs reassurance, which is such a painful and unhealthy mix. When he doesn’t feel secure or chosen, he doesn’t know how to communicate that in a healthy way, so instead he does something risky that can push the relationship to the edge. It feels like he’s subconsciously testing whether the other person will fight for him or give him the reassurance he needs. We’ve seen this pattern in his past too, (SPOILER) especially with Izaya, when he ghosted him and later explained that it wasn’t because he wanted to play games, but because he felt that even if he disappeared, no one would really chase him or try to keep him. It’s self-sabotaging and toxic, yes, but to me it felt very human, especially for someone who’s said that all of his past relationships were toxic and left him emotionally damaged. That’s why I don’t see him as just a “red flag,” but as someone who is clearly struggling with fear, guilt, and attachment, and who is only now being forced to confront those issues.

This season is better than the first, the people this season are more direct and express their feelings more so…
i was thinking that as well

Hello, I still couldn't find the name of the song played on Ep.6. when Izaya opened up abt his mother's death.Does…
a lot of people have been looking for it, but there’s no confirmed song name or artist yet 😭 it might be an unreleased track made just for the show

it's annoying to me that the obvious two finale pairings are going to be WilliamIzaya and HuweiBomi... when they…
tbh it did feel strange when we first found out so many of them knew each other, i was also going into this show with the "finding new love" mindset and giving people you don't know a chance but i think saying "not connect back with past hookups" is a bit dry since i see it from another, a bit deeper perspective. the show so far is giving more of a "second chance" vibe, it is as much about giving a second chance to someone you knew in the past as much as it is about giving a second chance to yourself - a chance to try again but differently/better, to correct past mistakes, past misunderstandings, say things you regret not saying then, give it that final push because who knows... in the end it might work? it is risky, it might work or it may not but all of them obviously gave themselves a second chance first and just followed their hearts. it is obvious that a few of them really do want to grow from who they used to be in the past, re-descover themselves through these relationships and even if it's messy, even if it leaves us with so many unrequited feelings i still think watching their journey is worth it

Heard only 6 episodes were out
yeah but since i was expecting them to drop 1-2 eps the most, i didn't even consider the word "only" lol

Not Hiroya and Bomi both choosing Huwei when the real chemistry is between the two of them
you're literally reading my mind, i was like I CANNOT BE THE ONLY ONE NOTICING THAT (reminds me how i felt with ryota and gensei in s1)

Title Idol I
The first two episodes really hooked me, mainly because of the psychological focus on idol life, fandom, and mental pressure. As someone who used to be deep into kpop, watching the story from the idol’s perspective was especially interesting. The male lead’s acting stood out and felt very convincing.

Eps 3-4 cooled my excitement a bit. The pacing slowed down, and I didn’t fully vibe with how the female lead acted regarding dating rumors, it felt contradictory to how the drama first framed her. I understand her attachment comes from trauma and gratitude rather than just idol worship, but those scenes still gave me mixed feelings.

Overall, I’m still invested and curious to see where this goes. Strong concept and acting, I’m just hoping the drama fully addresses the unhealthy side of obsession and gives the characters real growth instead of romanticizing them.

it is best to rate at least after ep 6. Giving such rating and review and keep watching is not ok
As I mentioned, this review will keep changing as I continue watching, but I still think first impressions deserve a rating. A lot of people check early reviews to decide whether to start a drama or what expectations to have and not everyone waits 3–4 weeks. So this isn’t a final verdict, just my early thoughts based on what I’ve seen so far.
