True…a lot of the criticisms are valid and I can see their point…somehow 💁🏻♀️ But I saw some people are rating a whole drama very low based on expectations letdown and I felt bad for everyone working hard on this. The fact of the matter is very simple….the drama did well from start to end. Yes the beginning was definitely more entertaining & like you said chemistry was off the scales but the ending wasn’t disappointing & everything ended well.
I was hoping they didn’t change the end and make it the mourning endings these type of dramas favours.

In comparison to 70% of similar dramas ever made this ranks high regardless of viewers expectations. This is why good dramas never get the ratings they deserve. As a viewer that appreciates strong & smart female leads in a great plot..I would support any future dramas that would encourage this. No squemish & clueless FL leads here 👌 Yes I’ve read the novel & loved it and since real life adaption of good novels are never on the same level I will have to say that from production, Effects, OST, costume, plot & Acting…they all did well making this come to life

2ML’s mother has passed away when he was a boy….FL’s mother is well and alive. Because of identity switch she is regarded as FL’s aunt instead and has to have next to no contact with FL.

Right. Plot although going along the same lines & direction it literally differ from the novel from chapter 1 so I don’t understand the constant comparison. They obviously made the drama more realistic in reality than the novel & for that I enjoy it..probably more. Obviously I love the novel but people have to understand that the characters & scenarios aren’t gonna be the same since the novels dwell into the character’s mind & thoughts not to mention the writers would literally point out the mood of it’s surroundings for us to read. Even if you missed the plot’s intention the words would tell you how to feel. Dramas can’t do that…. here the actors are doing so well for their roles but if your eyes can’t read the room then that’s probably your expectations making you blind to a good watch

Right my exact line of thoughts at first…how is she gonna pull off being a general with her size 😆 Or she doesn’t have a demanding presence & why was she chosen to be a general by ML’s father. But slowly we see the intelligence behind the sweet fake identity she created. Nothing gets me happy than watching a smart or strong FL. So far we can detect she can be deadly in her own way of battle & can see intelligence when planning & scheming plus awareness….i now starting to understand exactly what ML’s father saw in her.
Even though I like the ML... his vibe so similar as a cold blooded character from his drama MY JOURNEY TO YOU,…

I would agree in some aspect. Actors & performers in K-drama, C-drama & music are rewarded with crazy loving fan support but with that extreme comes toxicity….small negatives can become huge in their world and big negatives is career career ending overnight.
I waited so long for this I jumped in as soon as it aired 😔 I don’t think I have the patience to wait every week for this particular drama. Now I’m just here hanging & watching like a security on patrol 😆

You say this without knowing facts? Okay. First everyone who’s been in any health or fitness program or training knows that gaining & loosing weight fast is damaging for your body. Anyone working with professionals would highly discourage this unless you take time in between filming to slowly & healthily unload the weight. (These guys don’t have time for that…some even have 2 dramas or movies filming as once) Other than this you kinda answer a bit of your question. The viewers and Fans are extreme in these countries. A fat photo would bully them right off their career. These fans would hold them higher than most countries lol and just as easily turn their backs when they no longer are interested.
I honestly didn't like it. Firstly, I know it's fiction, but even so, it's hard to swallow that no one noticed…
Honestly I think the female playing male is old as times in these type of dramas…I get it but it’s nicely done in this one it’s not that noticeable especially when she’s a badass in compact. If you think too much abt it then of course it’ll get to you. And you might have missed some part where many already questioning & noticing the changes. From the ppl of court, Chu Zhao & even the ML himself whom trained with FL when younger. It literally showed them confused & suspicious over meeting the evil brother.
As for the ML I would disagree…just like the FL, Ryan Cheng are perfect for their roles. Suggesting that a B rated actor would better than a A rated actor as the Lead is a bit far fetch IMO but I think you went into this drama very critical considering it’s only just aired. But your opinion is your own and probably best to not continue if you’re already hating it when the production itself & acting are already on point & about to unfold the plot.
