I wonder if Shen Yue and Liang Jing Kanf will be paired up

I agree. I don’t think they did a great job at showing how Li Er and Zhang Yang bounded after her death (and it’s amazing in the novel)
I was hoping that the series would do a better job for this but I’m actually disappointed on this because
1) it seems they will never release this
2) the actors don’t fit, I think

It’s in the novel. To be honest, the more I read Chinese novels, the more i feel like China is not as intolerant towards violence with women as we are. I kinda agree with you, this is very annoying.
I try to see this as a melodramatic element showing that Zhang Yang could be quick-tempered or very harsh because I like the novel too much to let this ruin the whole thing. But to be honest, I’ve read so much worst in Chinese novels that this almost seems light for me (moreover
But I understand why this stops you from fully appreciating the story. Chinese authors need to stop presenting rape and violence like it’s no big deal

Lol. Ye Miao’s romance with Xia Ruining is doomed again

The novel is not even finished, snif !

I KNEW they’d be reunited someday. Their pairing was way too popular in Story of Yanxi Palace but their story didn’t have a happy or satisfying ending. This could the producers let this opportunity go ?

It’s based on a novel... but from what I know, even the titles are different. So why do they call it an adaptation ?

The story looks interesting. I hope to see worthy actors here (Li Mu Chen would be nice)

So... do they still intend to release it ?
I’m asking because this is one of my favorite novels and I was excited to know about the drama

I’m curious to see Peng Xiao Ran as a cold blood woman who wants revenge.
Her character in GMP was cheerful and innocent but due to the story, she had intense scenes where she was mad at the male lead and she was AMAZING in these !

It does if I’m not wrong

That sometimes happens :D
It just depends of the kind of novels.
Historical novels ? 80% chances it’s gonna happen, depends of the main happening of the novel
School or slice of life novels ? Pretty safe for censorship

I don’t think they will. From what I’ve read, there’s not the usual criterias for censorship (rebirth, transmigration, excessive use of violence, rape, historical representations...)

I so hope this is gonna be soon released.
All of these actors are very talented

I’m currently studying television and cinema, doing a writing master while also learning Chinese language.
I have the crazy dream of someday working in Chinese entertainment industry

Maybe he skipped a class while she redid one (it is mentioned he’s very smart while she’s not that good in school)

This story was just sooooooooooooooooooooo sad... TT

Not yet

Her character is awful but she’s a good actress !

I'm not sure but if I remember correctly, no
