It’s in the novel. To be honest, the more I read Chinese novels, the more i feel like China is not as intolerant towards violence with women as we are. I kinda agree with you, this is very annoying.

Historical novels ? 80% chances it’s gonna happen, depends of the main happening of the novel
School or slice of life novels ? Pretty safe for censorship

I don’t think they will. From what I’ve read, there’s not the usual criterias for censorship (rebirth, transmigration, excessive use of violence, rape, historical representations...)
