Yes, there is definitely worse male leads than him. But he does have a lot to work on before I find myself liking…
I think Napasiri is just the definition of jealousy. She know Mita is more beautiful to her, superior to her and she has a cruel heart, so she wants to destroy her

It’s more like he finds it hard to accept that he doesn’t have her love, so he doesn’t want her to to forget him. He wants to remain bound to her, he wants to remain in her sight, even if it’s in hatred. He’s just like a child craving for attention from someone he loves but who doesn’t give his love back
I love this drama (and the novel) so much so it makes me sad to see so much polemics about it, even though I can understand why. But I’ve seen so many male leads much worst than Parin that I can’t hate him. And I can’t help but thinking that this situation wasn’t entirely his fault. And yes, he should not have resorted to prostitution, but... i can’t help but remember that not everyone can be perfect. And when I remember that dramas like Mia Jum Pen, Roy Leh Sanae Rai, Khing Kor Rar Khar Kor Rang or Likit Kamathep, where the male lead just rapes the female lead, knowingly and doesn’t feel remorse, I feel like Parin is an angel next to them. And I don’t see why this drama can’t be a success if those can be hits (because they actually were hits).
And Parin will definitely repent, I know ´cause I’ve read the novel
Rape is so prominent in Thai drama it's disturbing sometimes. I believe what happened to FL is date rape. I watch…
And yet, it has greatly evolved (there was a time where you had rape almost everywhere in lakorns, and yet, they treated it like no big deal). But now, they often take it off even if it’s in the original story/novel. In So Wayree, even though the male lead is in the wrong for « buying » her, he at least immediately regrets his mistake. Moreover, he didn’t know she was drugged and had already « gone in » when he realized it. So we can consider that this is not entirely his fault
So remember all of those cliches we hate about lakorn and that we thought had disappeared ? The jerkish and masochistic male lead who sexually assaults the female lead and yet is presented like he’s not so bad, the female lead who gets slapped and abused by everyone and accepts without a word, the evil female who think they have a contract mariage with the male lead, and the villains who even get forgiven like nothing happened ? These are all here, literally lining up
It feels weird to see Ching Ching acting as the evil female lead when I’m so used to see her as a female lead ? But I have to admit she’s good at it, her heinous eye are scary
I find it weird that people are eager for this when it seems that the female lead will face only abuse from everywhere and that the male lead is a misogynistic jerk
