Title The Confidence Spoiler
Funny, the drama seems to have taken a completely different direction from the novel : they seem to focus on action…
That’s a hard novel. Let’s just say she gets her happy ending but she goes through many sufferings before obtaining it

I was very unsatisfied with their remake of Summer’s Desire and yet, they had such a talented casting, they could have done so much better (I’m a fan of the novel and the Taiwanese drama so I had much expectations and these were disappointed)

Title Jamloei Rak
Why ?In my opinion, this is the best adaptation of the novel (I totally prefer it to the 2008 version)
Are you talking about the 2008 or the 1998 version ?

So it’s an interesting story but there is nevertheless a big flaw : it seems that the ones producing this story are anti-gay. It’s never openly said that they consider gay people as sexually devious but it’s suggested more than once. Besides, the portrayal that they do of gay men is pretty (like they’re all cunning, selfish and coward). And finally, it seems they do not consider gay men as « real men ».

You know what ? I’m just like you. I have mental problems and dramas (amongst other things) are my way to forget the cruel reality and to have more strength to fight it.
It seems nothing but actually, little things from everyday life (for us, dramas, for some, books or cinema or shopping) that make us smile and forget stress are in fact the things that allow us to hold on. There was a time, after my most beloved one’s death, where I had suicidal thoughts (I already had had it in my middle school days but they resurfaced eventually) and sometimes, the only thing that could calm me down was to skip school and go to theater watch Beauty and The Beast (I watched it three times during that period) or to think « You can’t die now :The Wolf with Li Qin still hasn’t been released » (that, and my family that I couldn’t bear to hurt)
See ? It looks like nothing but it helps a lot

If it wasn’t for Pon, I wouldn’t have watched at all : the characters aren’t very likable and overall, the story is predictable and full of cliches, and the female lead is very annoying, as a character and as and as an actress. Pon’s acting is the only thing that is worth it in this drama : touching and full of charisma
