I feel so sorry for SoiInthanin She actually tries to stay away from these people : although she’s envious of her half-sister because they have such different lifestyles despite being from the same blood but she still tries to stay away from her, doesn’t intend to harm or to steal anything from her. But all of these people keep bullying her nonstop even when she stays away : her stepmom, their servant and even her half sister won’t leave her alone, even though she already has everything while Nin lives like a servant and is n’y even acknowledged by her dad. And her parents are so hateful : her mother is so weak and cowardish and her dad keeps saying that he loves them but never helps them, keeps spoiling his other daughter and believes her and forgives her everything while he always lets others bully and set up Nin even when she’s done nothing.
I dôn’t see why there are so many people who say that the male lead is ugly and that they prefer female lead’s first boyfriend Yang Cheng I mean, first : no, he is NOT ugly. And I say that as someone who’s quite picky about looks. Yes, he’s not as handsome as the other male members of the cast or even as many actors, but to call him ugly is a great exaggeration (and I wonder how handsome/beautiful are those who call him ugly to afford themselves to be so mean about looks…). Also, even if he’s not the most handsome or charismatic actor, he definitely has talent and THAT’S what matters. If an actor or actress only has good looks, trust me, people will see. Second : yes, maybe he’s not as handsome or cool as Yang Cheng. But his love for Xie Qiao is worth 1000times Yang Cheng’s. He loved Xie Qiao all of his life, never stopped waiting for her and did everything for her, even when she didn’t know. And they had such a bond : they weren’t just boyfriend and girlfriend, they were best friends. But Yang Cheng ? Honestly, I like the character. He’s a grey, not fully black or white, relatable, attaching guy. But let’s remember that even though he cared for Xie Qiao, he cheated on Xie Qiao all along and openly admitted that one of the reasons why he was with her was out of commodity : she wouldn’t get jealous and wouldn’t interfere with him. And also, the guy never admitted his feelings for his childhood friend Wang Ying. He was a good friend, I could see it with everything he did for Wang Ying when she was in trouble. But the guy is no husband/boyfriend material, despite his charm. If I were to pick, I’d rather have a Qin Chuan in my life rather than a Yang Cheng I think people are missing the reason why Qin Chuan is less hot that Yang Cheng : in my opinion, they precisely picked a pretty casual and common looking (sort of) actor for Qin Chuan because that’s how Qin Chuan is supposed, he’s not especially attractive, cool or romantic but he’s the most loving guy ever. And they picked a very handsome guy for Yang Cheng because Yang Cheng is supposed to be very handsome, charming and cool, making him seem like those male leads out of novels, mangas or dramas (let’s remember that Xie Qiao often compared their love live to settings in dramas or mangas), but ever though he’s full of charm, he doesn’t have what it takes to have a fulfilling relationship on the long term
But I honestly feel like some people are willing to forget and forgive how Yang Cheng is disastrous in love simply because they’re blinded by his charm and good looks 😓
