Probably... And yet, I think GMP is not her most depressing novel (a good one but she wrote much worse in terms of depression)
I'm a fan of the novel post 400 chapters when the FL goes full badass!! Thanks for reading :)
I know, it’s a killing thing, right ? It’s like they give us the best candy ever but we only get to eat one quarter of it and they take us back the rest. My favorite scene is when he handcuffed her… as a feminist, I guess I shouldn’t but god, he’s so hot and natural and their dialogue and skin ship is so natural, especially when after he faints, she’s about to give herself to him to « pay off her debt » but he refuses, saying « once won’t be enough ; I need it a lifetime »

Chọc tức vợ yêu
No eng subs unfortunately. But if you watch it remembering the novel, you understand it very easily. It’s surprisingly good because they succeeded in being faithful to the original material and yet make the visual, staging and writing cool, intense, realistic and not as corny as the novel. And the male lead is sooooooooo… 😍🤤 Yummy ! I just hope the Chinese adaptation will be similar but I doubt it
So, out of curiosity, I watched the Vietnamese adaptation of the novel… and now I hope the Chinese series is gonna be the same !!! You could have avoided spoiling future viewers by hiding your comment 😓
Most (if not all) of the other comment are hidden by a spoiler. And there is no spoiler alert on your comment, and although you don’t reveal specifically how it ends, you basically reveal it’s a bad ending. DUH you too You could at least acknowledge what you did…

It’s actually really cool

Because she’s basically a part of rape culture (and also romanticizes situations where a man extorcates sex from a woman)
😭
