The 2nd fl is a good girl (who goes through a lot of sufferings 😢 my heart broke for her more than once) It’s the rivals of the female lead who are really annoying (especially his childhood friend ; the other starts repenting at some point but she, on the other hand, had done terrible things and still got away, even if it were crimes)

It’s not as good as the original (I think) but I agree it’s pretty nice to watch and the relation between the leads is very cute (and Put’s acting is on top)

the angst is pretty light on the romance. The ML is flawed but thzt actually makes him relatable and realistic that’s okay because he realizes his faults in time and repents and once he realizes his love for the female lead, he’s entirely devoted to her and they’re so cute !
I really liked your article ! I especially liked The comparisons you made with Laongdao/Anastasia and Rissaya/Cinderella : it’s funny because in the series, one of the characters actually compare the female lead to Anastasia (because no one knows where she comes from). And I also like to see Rissaya as some dark version of Cinderella : because the prince is not so charming, because the mistreatments our Cinderella are really terrible and because our Cinderella is not a model of purity and joy who succeeds in smiling despite her terrible life (her character is very interesting : she knows her life is terrible but she chooses not to cry over it and endures silently ; this isn’t because she’s weak or resilient but because she goes with what she can)
