I don’t think she’s gonna stay with him,, it doesn’t seem to the writers’ intentions. I mean, the more…
Yep, I’ve read the novel. Quite disappointed honestly… pretty boring… What I love most about the drama is the whole « cheated spouses who fall for each other and take revenge on their awful partners », that eventually distinguishes the drama from the other cheating plots, makes it original and interesting… But there’s none of that in the novel so this becomes the usual boring cheating plot, not very different from Mia Luang. The novel is more focused on Jom’s ambition and his love triangle, and it’s quite boring. Moreover, although Praekaew leaves him (one of the reasons why I don’t think she’s gonna stay with him in the drama), there’s no revenge on her part and the karma he receives is totally different and not as satisfying
He tells her « do you know I’ve endured you for a long time now, so much that now, I’ve run out all my patience with you ! » (quite some nerve to say that, when you know what an angel she was with him before and how he, on the other hand, behaved with her)
a second preview… Prae is in big troubles… Prai is losing his patience towards Yuanta and eventually slaps her, due to the attack against Prae, I think (can’t blame him though, this had to happen sooner or later : he had already restrained himself a few times but she keeps pushing the limits, even physically endangering others and not showing remorse) And Jom also let go of any fakeness towards Prae… and it seems he’s about to get really dangerous with her 😭 why does this drama keep me hanging like this every week !
first, we see Nuan and Jom meeting a a man old enough to be her dad who seems to be her former sugar daddy (She’s sitting next to him and this man says, when seeing Jom , « So this is the man who made Nuan leave me ») Then Yuanta is giving a call to Nuan and tells her « Your plan of sending Prae to the border/a brothel (not sure), you really did it, right ? (and we see some masked guys with bats) Then Yuanta is at Jaegun’s place. He tells her a thing that I didn’t understand then asks her « where did your husband go ? » Then Lee is hiding in the home, with wounds and bruises on her face . Then we hear her saying « what nonsense are you saying ! She’s my younger sister ! » (I think she’s talking to Prai, after having realized he loves Prae ; and this must be before the attack, because she has no wound on her face, like when she was hiding in the house) Prae is then talking to Prai on the phone but I’m not sure what she’s saying (something like « between us, it’s just… start a new life ») Jom is then yelling at Nuan « no matter what, I’ll never divorce Prae ! And I’ll remain Prae’s husband until somebody kills her ! » (not sure about the specific terms of the last part of his line, but there’s definitely the idea of them staying married until one of them is dead but I’m not sure if he means Prae specifically or just one of them, and if he really talked about someone killing her or him or it was just one of them being dead)
I assumed the same. Maybe, a little twist from the original drama's ending, and a save. I can only hope.
Aaaaaand we had a twist. But not a good one. And the drama wasn’t saved at all. It got even worse (can’t compare to the original drama though, didn’t watch it. Could you spoilme about this one by the way ?)
So… things seem to escalate… Jom threatened Prae (by the way, thumbs up about the policeman who was half-mocking half refusing Prae for filing a report against her husband for that : because this is actually very realistic and i think the show pointed out that this kind of officier, who’s supposed to protect us and yet leaves us in our s***, even ridicules us for filing complaints, don’t take our terrible situations as seriously as it is, and eventually causes us to be in even more danger, are just unacceptable ! Because we all know this kind of guy exists and they are why woman won’t take action against violent husbands). And Yuanta and Nuan speak about having Prae kidnapped, sold into prostitution… and the end of the episode gives the impression that Jom is considering this too (realizing that Prae and Prai might have a relationship seems to have broke his last string of sanity)… It seems Prae is in big danger ! And I was worried she might lose her mind balance and her principles with all these people… when I see their level of wickedness, I’m starting to think that Prae and Prai can’t actually be too mean or stoop too low with these people… I just hope they won’t succeed in seriously hurting her Edit : yep, next episode’s preview confirms it. They’re all taking this on on a way more serious level. And that jerk police officer who was belittling their fight, saying that this was just some marital fight and laughing about Prae filing a report… when you see how this evolves, you realize this kind of guy is responsible of women getting killed by their abusive husbands… But it seems like Nuan is the one who will decide on her own to attack Prae (Jom’s words to her « I will be Prae’s husband until she dies » seems to be a foreshadow), probably due to being manipulated by Yuanta… but from the preview, I feel like Lee is the one who’s gonna get attacked instead of Prae, by accident
I don’t think she’s gonna stay with him,, it doesn’t seem to the writers’ intentions. I mean, the more…
Hard to say : they’re obviously creating a romance between them but until the last episode, we can’t be certain that these two will end up together for many reasons the first : the romance between Prai and Prae is definitely not following the novel, so it’s unpredictable Second : even if their spouses are worthless, for now, they’re still married to someone else, and Thai society doesn’t approve AT ALL of extramarital affairs, whatever the circumstances, so if they want to make these two end up together, they should make sure there was no adultery first, otherwise Thai viewers might disapprove Third : for the reason quoted above, the writers may opt for an open ending where they would both walk out of their toxic marriages but not necessarily end up together (it would either be implied that they may end up together or totally excluded). Because they may fear that Thai viewers would disapprove of someone falling in love when being married to someone else, even if the relationship happens AFTER the marriage and there was no previous adultery between them (or they may simply try to follow the novel on that point) But I tend to think they will pick an open ending that implies that they will end up together (because that would both fulfill these two’s romance and satisfy their shippers while also make sure there’s nothing disapproveable here)
I don’t think she’s gonna stay with him,, it doesn’t seem to the writers’ intentions. I mean, the more…
yeah but that's the sort of show where they find some ways to present a jerk as a good guy and pretend that his actions are not so bad (and i've seen much worse than Praomook, believe me), for example by giving him some excuses, like the fact that he "loves" the female lead. In other words, this is mostly their rape culture But here, the writers are obviously pointing him as a villain: the fact that he hits women, rejoices of the death of his mother-in-law who was a kind person and doesn't even love the female lead are signs (weirdly enough, even if dramas tolerate rape, they do not tolerate these things ; and if he doesn't even have the excuse of loving Prae, then I think he's definitely out
Hell naw jom situation that would be means for a divorce right away…..nope if the writer make her stay with…
I don’t think she’s gonna stay with him,, it doesn’t seem to the writers’ intentions. I mean, the more we move on in the series, the more Prae is determined to leave him and be done with him ; moreover, his character appears a bit more of a villain (he hit his mistress in this episode and even rejoiced of his mother-in-law’s death : if that’s not a villain…). From what I know about Thai dramas, it would be very weird and unusual if they let him have a good ending with Prae after all of that
Episode 17 (seriously, how does alwaysgrumpycat do to get it earlier ?!!!) Wow...not an episode goes without a new turn of event, we never get bored, and so many things happened here... Nuan announcing her pregancy was not even the biggest event of the series (it's even the least important) The death of Prae's mother brought so many things... I feel sad for Prae because until now, she was still enduring because she didn't want her mother's health to get worse... And now, she lost her... It's even sadder when you know that Prae's mother had told one or two episodes ago that she knew she had little time left but didn't want to have to worry about her daughter ... And this last wish of hers wasn't even fulfilled due to those trashes But now, at least, Prae has nothing that holds her back... And it seems she's about to make the best use of this freedom Jom... He's now unredeemable to me (and God knows there wasn't much left)... His mother-in-law just died, and it's probably his fault, but his only reaction was to rejoice and laugh in front of her picture that she will no longer hinder him Also, the moment when he saw Prae and Prai hugging... damn, that was satisfying. The shock on his face, that moment when it seemed that time stopped... And the little side-look that Prai gave him, like "Sorry, but I won't hold back for you, nor will I regret or feel guilt" and he even hugged Prae tighter. By the way, I appreciate the fact that the first one that Prae hugged for comfort is actually Prai, not her cheater husband or her fake cousin... As soon as she saw him, that was a reflex. It's obvious he's taking more and more place in her heart I also liked that ending on Prae starting to get her revenge, especially what she did on Yuanta... How Yuanta had just gone out of jail for attacking her and how she was bragging about it to Prae and social medias, being so arrogant... And while she was bragging, even I could see how foolish she was, and that this certainly wasn't the end of her problems, unlike what she was saying... And how Prae pointed it out to her, but Yuanta first wasn't getting it (which proves that, just like Prae said, Yuanta is only rich, not smart, even quite foolish) and two minutes later, she could see she was being criticized on her instagram page for openly bragging about being released and not repenting at all. This feels even more satisfying because not only we saw it coming but Yuanta totally deserved it... In that episode, when she atatcked Prae, she told her that even if she killed her with her car, she wouldn't go to jail... And that's her biggest mistake... Until now, her father had always cleaned up behind her (which was also his mistake because he made her unable to stand any difficult or to take responsibility for her actions, and unfortunately, sooner or later, he wouldn't be able to clean up after her), so she had grown certain that the simple fact of having money allowed her to do whatever she wanted, break any rule and even brag about it, and no one would do anything about it. But nowadays, no one can commit offenses repeatedly and yet get away ; at some point, there will always be people, whether it is the law or the citizens, that will say "enough of your bullshit" : so to be honest, when she bragged about being able to kill Prae and not go to prison, I knew this would happen any time soon (I can't help but think that this was what gave Prae the idea, especially when you see Prae's look at that moment, obviously thinking "is she for real ?"). Her father had tried to warn her but she didn't listen (although I have to admit, the warnings her father gave her were far from being clear enough ; moreover, he should have let her taste real punishment once in a while)
When Prai and Prea will have their moments? I can't wait for their love to bloom.
They kinda already had some of those. It’s just that their « moments » are very different from the usual type : their scenes and relationships are not the usual « romantic love » that starts off immediately with love and attraction. It’s more like a mature and adult type of love, that starts with a simple friendship, mutual trust and comfort (due to what they both went through and how it brought them to sympathize and comfort each other). It is very mature type of love, that grows very quietly (because the concerned people first don’t see each other as potential partners, which also means that their relationship is very selfless, and unconditional) so the « moments » are not that obvious (but for example, I consider that the scene when Prae comforts Prai at her home is a moment ; same when he comforts her near the river)
Damn, I hope this cast is real, I’ve long awaited to see these two together Fun fact : that would kinda be their 3rd time pairing 1st time as cameos in Painted Skin 2, where they played the young versions of the leads and had a scene together And 2nd time in Dagger Mastery ! But personnally, none of these two were satisfying on the shipping side
agreed. it made no sense. It went on so long, I didn't care how it would end. loledit: Vico SD might mark your…
I didn’t mark « spoiler » because it was hard giving my opinion without mentioning and I thought it was okay if o didn’t mention specifically what the events mentioned were
