Hahaaaha. So agree on this. Japan takes the number on spot when it comes to this. And this is because japanese…
For me it's almost like a sub-genre of the BL genre, I don't know but every time I manage to watch a japanese BL it's like a whole experience! Also the actors always manage to have the best raw chemisty, so yeah let's definetely hope for more shows like this one
It's a gay movie, not a BL, in my opinion. The chief and the King had a long-standing, intimate and loving relationship.…
I feel like the movie purpousely leave open to interpretation the relationship beetwen the king and the chief, and I agree that they did had something between them, but, as I said, that wasn't the main focus of the movie, instead the main "romance" was a straight one; so putting this movie in BL lists seems wrong, and not because the two MLs didn't have something beetwen them but because, for me, that wasn't the main plot. And yes, you could definetly call it a gay movie, that's why I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had find it when I was in the mood of watching a gay movie and not a BL one, since for me those are two completly different genres.
Not so much compared to the MLs and the other prisoners
I mean, she does have some screen time but since most of the drama is set inside the prison she's there in the flashbacks or when she visits basically. Also, I think she is listed first because she's one of the first characters that is introduced even though Kim Je Hyuk's cellmates have way more screen time than her. In any case I liked her storyline since I found their romance cute!
No it's not a BL. It does have a gay storyline but it's from a minor character. The drama it's great but if you want to watch it just for the BL part I don't think it's worth it
Things that I liked: -Son Oh Gong -Son Oh Gong's fur coats -The love-hate relationship/bromance between Son Oh Gong and Devil King -General Winter handsome and symmetrical face -The chemistry between the main leads and the whole cast in general -The bad guy (he wasn't annoying) -The ending, since it was fitting and not that much open in my opinion
Everything else was meh, but I was still able to finish it so I guess there's that
This was a very good special episode for Kingdom, but I think that if you wanted to watch it as a stand alone or just because JJH was in it, it would have had a mediocre impact since there wasn't much talking or big fighting scenes. Personally I loved it because Kingdom is one of my favorite dramas, but I can understand where all the criticisms and the low ratings are coming from.
Yeah it seems like a common trope in kdrama-land that no one (girls in particular) has ever been in a relationship…
Never meant to offend anyone obviously. The point that I made wasn't about people who DON'T want to be in a relationship but about the ones, as we often see in kdramas, who do want one but the sreenwriter didn't gave them one for some reason or because the plot required it. I also spoke from my own experience since I don't personally know anybody that didn't at least have a kiss before or during university. There wasn't any reason to fell disrespected since I think you just missed my point, I wasn't talking about people who don't ever want to be in a relationship.
What century does this drama take place? Episode 11: By the way the 20 yr old characters are reacting to the notion…
Yeah it seems like a common trope in kdrama-land that no one (girls in particular) has ever been in a relationship in their 20s or even 30s, never had a kiss or god forbid sex. When I first started watching kdramas it really really really botherd me since I found it nonsensical, now I just try to ignore it -- but yes it's still stupid
So, I didn't have that much of a problem that Deok Sun ended up with Taek since, even if I preferred Jung Hwan, he clearely didn't care enough for her since he wasted every occasion he had and in the end he just gave up on her completely without much of a reason. What was weird for me was the personality transplant adult Taek had; I mean, I know people grow up, mature, change, but if you have an introverted and shy personality you can't became like that. Also, definetly too much screen time for Bo Ra and her relationship, if you watched just the last episode you would think that they were the main couple. Other than that it was a really nice ride!
She does get better. I wasn't convinced with her in the beginning either, but she is smarter than she looks .…
I know it's not a romance, I was just comparing her with the main cast since the other two male leads are clearely and right from the start very smart (I stopped before seeing the other FL). With my comment I was just wondering how she was gonna be throughout the series since she's a lead. Thank you for the reply anyway!
Does the FL get better during the show? I watched part of the first episode but already in that scene in the classroom I couldn't stand her as it's seem like the cliche situation where girl is messy, a little dumb and doesn't have her life together while the boy is super smart and cool. I wanna watch it because I really like the topic but I can't tolerate this kind of FLs
