I watched it for the second time and I gotta say I liked it even more, I even liked the FL this time around, maybe because I already knew about that stupid haircut and could ignore it. The first two episodes are kinda slow but necessary, and the story is actually pretty fast-paced after that, also considering it's a 2013 k-drama, so it's totally worth it. The romance is really really nice and the time-travel aspect is fun to watch, of course you have to suspend your disbelief. The bromance is good too and there weren't any stupid decisions made by the characters wich is a big deal in these kind of shows. Then of course Lee Jin Wook is there with his pretty eyes, smile and face so that's already a plus.
Let's be real, you can call it toxic, overrated and hate it how much you want but I think it's also thanks to TharnType popularity back then that we can have better show with better plot and bigger production value right now. Also, most people seem to be confused about the fact that BL are LGBTQ representation, they are not, and they don't want to be; it's content mostly wrote by women for women, straight women. I honestly just consider it a fantasy sub-genre. So guys, please calm down.
Yes, almost everything Gu Hai does is borderline criminal and in reality you should run like hell from a relationship like this one. But since we are in dramaland and we can enjoy shows about murderers and vigilantes I don't see the problem of enjoying this one. Addicted will forever be my go-to and favorite BL, their chemistry is so good you feel like you can touch it through the screen. 10/10
Over the top and cheesy romance? Yes. Too many invasive product placements? Yes. Lots of coincidences and some plotholes? Yes. But also, breathtaking cinematography, fantastic chemistry between the leads and the cast in general, an exceptional Woo Do Hwan's double role, great bromance and a very good ensable cast overall. The show is not perfect but it's highly engaging end entertaining, and honestly that is what I look for in a drama, beeing entratained and enjoing myself. There are definitely worse k-dramas you can watch out there.
Cinematography, acting and OST were to die for, 10/10. Certain parts of the story were a little hard for me to follow since there were so many names to remember at all times, in any case the main plot got cleared up in the end so it's fine. The ending was open for interpretation but personally I am liking it either way. A true gem worth watching, definitely disregard the rating.
