That young girl who acted as Shen Jia Lan, how beautiful she is and her acting is so good. It never felt lke acting…
Sorry, are you referring to the lead actress? Tan Song Yun (Xu Lan Xiang / Shen Jia Lan)âshe is already famous and has a long professional career. Yes, she has a baby face, but she is 36 years old; she looks like a young girl, but she isn't one.
Finished 6 episodes and I am thoroughly entertained by the detailed and captivating plots. Did not want to buy…
***************************************************************************** I agree completely, but she has an advantage over the other maids; she was a young noblewoman before everything happened to her family, so she knows all the tricks of the trade, so to speak. And she is very intelligentâan intelligence that will surely help her save her life time and again, given the way things are in that women's quarters; if one of them is bad, the next is even worse.
where do i watch the other 3eps since that web isn't working..
*********************************************************************************************** Naturally, you can find them on Viki and WeTV, but you have to pay. Viki tends to release episodes for free gradually, but it takes a while. A certain siteâor so I hearâhas been targeted; since thatâs how it started for other sites before they shut down, and given that piracy is being cracked down on more heavily these days, Iâd recommend picking a platform and just paying the fee. Itâs become very difficult to watch for free now.
***************************************************************************************** Well, having watched the first four episodes, I must say I really enjoyed them; the tense, toxic atmosphere within the Lim household is palpable. The actress playing the protagonist's wife (Li Meng/Madam Zahao) portrays a very chaotic characterâone who is surely headed for a bad end. I can't help but recall her role as the unhinged princess in *The Double*. Otherwise, the story flows just as it should. By the way, the protagonist's female companionâanother character likely headed for troubleâis a highly ambitious flirt; we shall see. We haven't seen much of Liu Xue Yi (Lin Jin Qi) in these first four episodes, but his brief appearances have already revealed a very volatile and violent character. As for Tan Song Yun (Xu Lan Xiang / Shen Jia Lan) and her dual identity, she plays a very submissive role, though I suspect she will be found out sooner or later; her class, manners, appearance, and behaviorâthat innate poiseâset her apart from any uneducated country girl. Weâll see how the story unfolds.
********************************************************************************************* Well, itâs finally 2:30 PMâSpanish time, European timeâdepending on where the broadcast was already airing.
Saludos. ******************************************************************** By the way, regarding today's scheduleâ3:30 PM European timeâwill that remain the same for every day, or is it just for today as a special premiere? Does anyone know? Cheers.
Incluso me he visto dando voces a la TV, jajaja.
Saludos. ************************************************************************************************* Hi everyone. Well, I have to say that Chapter 21 was really intense for me. I even found myself shouting at the TV, hahaha. You should have seen the weird looks I got from my family, haha. Both of them made me mad, but Flora especially; Iâd already seen signs of her being a bit childish in earlier episodes (15/16), but today, in Episode 21, she really took it to the extreme. Sheâs been selling us this idea that sheâs an independent woman who wants to earn everything on her own without helpâwhich is fine by me... 2) The way she lashed out upon finding out she hadn't won was harshâreally harsh. She felt betrayed by a boyfriend who is "on-again, off-again." Make up your mind, girl! 3) Girl, when it suits you, Luke is your boyfriend and has to give you what you want most (a promotion); but if he doesn't, then the relationship is toxic, dirty, etc.âall those lovely insultsâand he doesn't love or respect you. But heâs *always* done exactly what you wanted! Maybe *youâre* the one who doesn't love *him* enough? From what Iâve seen throughout this drama, heâs always helped and supported her in every wayâwhich is saying something, considering what a bossy, stubborn, authoritarian guy he is; he really toned down his sour personality. He let her bring a "dog" into the houseâan animal he didn't want there and wasn't exactly thrilled about. He grew to love it, sure, but at first? Not really.
4) The breakup argument: She went way too farâacting childish, immature, and selfish. And Lukeâhurt deeply by the verbal lashing she gave him (a real slap in the face)âresponded true to form, firing back with even more resentment and pain. He answered Flora frankly, exactly as she deserved; after all, sheâs supposed to be an "adult" woman. And look, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, but youâll have more chances to move up and really stick it to those business owners who prioritize money over intelligence and ability. End of my rant and personal gripe about that episode. Cheers. Enviar comentarios

By paying for the EXPRESS option on WeTV, you also have the final episodesâwhich are released all at onceâpaid for in advance.

The plot is advancing slowly but inexorably. If I recall correctly, this is the first time the two protagonistsâmaster and maidâhave been in such close proximity; they are in the same room, and she looks terrified. The wife is literally risking her neckânot with just one lover, but two; honestly, it seems like she *wants* to get caught. The first wifeâs courtyard is a hotbed of envy and underhanded schemes among the maidsâsome quite innocent, others more calculating. The husbandâthe protagonistâis hunting for evidence against his wife; it is clear he wants to get rid of her, and he will almost certainly succeed. Weâll see what happens tomorrow. Iâm still really enjoying this drama.

Iâm posting this without even having finished the first episode yet. My goodness, what a fantastic episodeâheart-wrenching and sad, but so well-made. Iâm enjoying it and am going to watch the remaining three episodes; I just wanted to say that if the whole drama is like this, itâs going to be a huge success. The young actress playing the cousin shows great promise; she always delivers excellent performances as an adult. Cheers.

Iâve watched itâitâs a bit of a hassle because the subtitles are in English rather than Spanish. So, Iâm basically reading between the linesâtrying to read, think, and translate all at once. Iâm not fluent in English, but it looks interesting; each protagonist introduces the other characters, so I think Iâm getting the gist of itâmore or less, right?
*****************************************************************
Of course I know that, but Iâm not very fluent in English, so I donât write muchâjust to be safe. And yes, they did have mistressesâeven childrenâbut they never brought them into the family home with their wives; thatâs the difference. Of course, there were mistressesâsome even had their own housesâbut the concept was different, though just as humiliating for the wife. As for religion... phew, even priests, bishops, and the like had children; what a bunch of hypocrites they all were.
There were some very famous mistresses among the reigning monarchs of that era. Oh, if I could tell youâhahahaâas a history student, itâs quite a story. But I insist: there is a difference between monogamy involving mistresses and polygamy involving multiple wives and concubines. Regards.
***********************************************************************
Thanks for the replyâvery kind of youâbut I still think that having so many women share a husband and compete for him must be a nightmare, not to mention their families waiting to profit from the union. As you rightly say, itâs a modern mindsetâhard to grasp or tolerate such a situation (haha), especially being Europeanâbut still, thatâs my take: itâs a sad life for them. Best regards.
***************************************************************************
Iâm a bit bewildered. Just how many women does this man, Lin Yin Qi, have in his harem? When does the drama actually kick off? Because thereâs quite a collection of women there; honestly, back thenâwhat a way to complicate oneâs life. So many women and childrenâbut what for? Just to end up killing each other? Would there ever be any peace in the household? Well, we shall see, but it already looks like a chaotic domestic messâfull of intrigue, malice, and the like. Letâs wait until tomorrow to see how the story unfolds and gets started.

Well, Iâm going to devote most of my commentary to Episode 21; as for the restâwhich weâve already seenâit felt like a mad dash to the finish, something that could have been remedied with just a few more episodes. The drop from 32 episodes to 24 was very noticeable, especially at the end. Sure, they gave it a lovely endingâa beautiful proposal sceneâbut that was about it. Episode 21, howeverâ"Hay amigas"âis a different story, and Iâm going to put myself in Lukeâs shoes. Now that the drama has wrapped up, I plan to read the book online during my vacation so I can compare the Luke from the show with the Luke from the novel. That said, Iâll write about Episode 21 in a separate post. Cheers.
