I'm on ep 3 and while I do enjoy it, it's just really really heavy and melodramatic. does it lighten up at all?…
there's a lot of funny moments later

I might have to check it out. AHH you know ball, killer and healer is my fav!! I've watched it at the same time as CoM so in my mind they're sibling stories set in the same universe haha

it was my first republican era drama and I really liked the atmosphere. I recommend but as a mood watcher I get it, sometimes the time isn't right. Be Her Resilience is pretty new right?

sigh so many of those ladies would have amazing chemistry with each other but it's hard to imagine anything more than sismance if we're talking about popular actresses, they won't risk the backlash. have you seen couple of mirrors? you might enjoy it. although it's still censored, the actresses are perfect together and it has actual plot

Can you suggest me his other shows? He's such a great actor and he's breathtakingly gorgeous, I need to see him…
have you seen the ones I've mentioned, wuliang and painted skin? they're short historical movies and he's giving completely different vibes but they're beautiful!! I haven't seen his other dramas yet 🫣

In China, there are so many beautiful actresses. Why are LGBT dramas still popular? Doesn't the country ban LGBT?

last episode- I’m confused. how did He Chu San go from being totally beat up to ring able to stand ?
✨adrenaline✨ (or at least that's what I'm gonna believe to ignore any plot holes)

I didn't think it was possible with all the things to wrap up and short runtime but I'm satisfied with the last episode!! of course I would LOVE season 2 but it won't physically pain me if we don't

I don't remember them saying the name in the actual drama before episode 3, did they?

oh you made me realize they might even use a different name, after all it's a drama not a documentary. so maybe I still have a chance to be surprised

since it's a real case I think I might've already seen the name in the comments before so if you don't want to know be careful. I think the whole point is that the whole town is going to start accusing each other without any real evidence and the red herrings make it so we as an audience can do the same

too much suspense. it's killing me. the directors aren't hiding that Gi Beon is the killer tho
if you think you know the killer on episode 2 isn't it too little suspense instead of too much? cha siyoung also wiped his shoe exactly the same way the killer did. I think both him and kibeom are red herrings

So well said! I'm absolutely loving the slow burn, I loved everything about the show so, so much I went ahead…
I haven't read the novel yet but might do it cause it will be hard to let them go :( Where did you read it?

Yeah I think it's apparent who "grew up" on Thai BLs versus Chinese BLs. I also prefer the latter, the romance just hits so much more when you understand the characters

I'm one of those people who wanted it to be slower. I wanted Liyu Yi's avoidant personality and trauma and He…
I agree with this so much! I feel crazy reading those comments because if there are any issues I have with this drama, it's the exact opposite. I mean when I learned it's set in Kowloon I thought it would be much grittier. I wish it was a bit darker and more serious, because at times you can forget Liuyi is supposed to be a gang leader. I would watch complicated slow burn 32 episodes of this easily. But yeah I think a lot of the choices are due to budget and other technical reasons. I did grow to like the atmosphere and comedy tho, it brightens up my Fridays :)

I felt almost cathartic reading this... You basically said everything I wanted to, but didn't 😋Besides, there…
I don't have much more to say I just keep nodding reading this haha. I guess we just need to keep praising the dramas that go in the right direction and actually focus on the plot and characters so we can get more productions like this and not just nonsense plot which is praised for its r-rated content

for sure, the chemistry is amazing in each of their scenes, I'm not ready to let them go :((

I think so? haha the timelines get a bit confusing. It's best to check it out yourself and it'll probably become clear soon enough
