I sincerely hope so, because I love how he was rewritten/reimagined in the series thus far. The character he was combined with did not have the luxury to know FCY well, so what that character said in the novel did not quite hit as hard for the reader. I think in the show, it was utter betrayal because we've seen so many interactions from them, that he really should have known her better than to spout that nonsense.

Very well put, # of high target kills was not the goal for our Marquis. Keeping the city safe was. His priorities as the leader is very clear bc he pivots so well to align with his goals during battles. People complaining he doesn't have enough personal kills are keeping a strange tally between the FL and ML.

It's not that they're not admitting to it. It's that most of us have never been put in a position to even consider what we would do in that situation.
