that one scene where Xiyang confesses she's pregnant with the Emperor's child... CHILLS, just CHILLS with the way it was done. The way the music shuts off and then swells, the way the camera pans and zooms, the despair and distress on Xiyang's face and Suige's shock and disbelief... that was a beautifully shot scene.

Legend of the Female General, The Prisoner of Beauty, Alchemy of Souls S2, Love and Destiny all have badass male leads as far as I can rmr - LOTFG and TPOB are very similar to this one, with smart, powerful MLs and equally strong FLs.

i mean it's kinda realistic that even though she's powerful and strong the death camp and its leader will always be a weak point where her emotions and PTSD would overwhelm her too much to think objectively... it's the place she was kept and tortured for years; it's very believable for her to react so emotionally

This one shocked me. It is SO FRICKING good I've been losing sleep for days now 😭😭 Every time you think things are going to get quiet something destroys the peace in some crazy way and we're back with the schemes, betrayal, power struggles, and mind games.

I love the way the ML and FL stay strong though... once they're together they're so ride or die it makes everything else bearable. I'm blessed to have this truly kickass couple gracing my screen.

Legend of the Female General is awesome!!! They have badass chemistry and the entire relationship dynamic is refreshingly healthy(AFTER they fall in love lol). If you like short dramas that draw you in because of Cheng Lei I'd recommend A Familiar Stranger and My Husky Boyfriend(this show is nuts but Ryan is so fricking funny, he gave his all to that role)

I JUST KNOW THEY CENSORED THAT SCENE IN EP 26 THIS IS NOT FAIR 😭😭😭 all that buildup for NOTHING
