Theres no romance per se, but the chemistry between Meguro Ren's and Imada Mio's character is constantly sizzling, burning with every glance, look, and smile. Its absolutely crazy that nothing explicitly romantic happens but the two always look like they're ready to tear each other's clothes off and eat each other UP at each meeting.
The second lead also has a romantic interest but again its very very slight, but less subtle than the main leads. They kind of reach a conclusion in the end while the mains are left open.
Love Me, Love My Voice is a pretty fun watch(not much angst or high-stakes drama)... Road Home has amazing chemistry and cinematography but it is soooooo boooooooooooooooooooring and the plot moves slower than a snail
Loved loved LOVED Twinkling Watermelon, and Moving was a fun watch(though i need a S2 before decidig exactly how good it is lol). This year was jdrama year for me, though... i like their comedy, mystery and action(basically shonen) dramas but always found them lacking in the meaningful romance department. However, I was highly impressed by 2023's Hold My Hand at Twilight(MDL 8.2) and The Third Finger Offered to the King(MDL 8.0)... kudos the production and cast! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The ML was worth watching but the drama as a while went on a really unnecessarily slow, frustrating route. The topics they chose to explore were meaningful and interesting but the execution was definitely lacking. A jdrama I'd compare this vibe/setting/trope to would be Perfect World(paraplegic ML) but they handled the arcs and brought out everything much better, serious tone without dragging around.

Well, 100DMP did let me down in some ways... i think i left k-historicals because of that one, too 😅 tried The Forbidden Marriage because i adore KYD but though it was enjoyable, it still didnt come close to Moonlight Drawn by Clouds. MDBC's Crown Prince is unserious but not stupid, up for pranks and escapades but also a good ruler, and active in both politics and action/fighting(he has a ninja bestie lol)

The Player(the one with Krystal). They brought me to tears with the way their bond developed, and i am so glad they didnt awkwardly stick in romance. The hyungs grew to love their adoptive little sister to death and that was it. And what can i say, im a sucker for conman/heist dramas.
