I didn't feel that, though... his styling looks good. His rounded face makes him look young, and all the outfits they put him in add to his boyish aura, IMO. Especially the oversized trench-coat, the turtlenecks and the sweater. When he's at home he looks really young. I can't see him as a 30 year old 😅 I'm glad they went with the hair-on-the-forehead style instead of gelling it all back or making it stand up... that's a very popular drama CEO hairstyle for younger actors and they look so stiff in it sometimes.
What makes Kang Tae Mu stand out among all the tsundere CEOs of Dramaland? (I mean, the unique charm that Ahn Hyo Seop adds to his character)
1. His boyish style - the fact that he's young and doesn't really try to hide it. I've seen a lot of really young-looking CEOs who try to act like they're older and experienced, or have been working for years and years. KTM's young genius character is pretty believable. 2. The vulnerable expressions - I was caught off-guard for the first time at the end of Ep 3(was it?), when they have the accidental-kiss scene. Instead of taking the angry/outraged/shocked/scandalized route, I loved the confused-sweetheart look he had(before he got knocked out XD). He balances the stoic tsundere-ness with awkwardly adorable boy-in-love really well. 3. He actually works and has a passion for what he does FOR ONCE lol. I'm glad the two leads have something in common.
And Kim Se Jeong WOW she keeps impressing me. She's perfect for her role, and she totally stands out as an FL to me. So good... Not annoying, not a doormat, not a stupid brainless idiot, not suffering from Severe Entitlement Syndrome, just a really free-spirited, sweet, relatable character. I love watching how much she loves doing her job. Her expressions and mannerisms, the way she portrays the down-on-luck, adorable FL is just so perfect.
I love the rom-com-ness of this drama. All the characters are over-the-top and don't take themselves too seriously, but they're all kindhearted, good human beings. They know how to be over-the-top and hilarious without getting too stupid or looking like they're forcing themselves to overact.
I don't have enough words to praise this drama. The fluffy rom-com levels are sky high... I'm fangirling, screaming, laughing, swooning, and just having a blast watching this one. Dramas like these were the reason I fell so much in love with kdramas.
The editing, cinematography, soundtrack... all done soooo well. The writers pay attention to the little things - the little gestures, the little glances and expressions, the little acts of affection... I love it when writers do that.
The grandfather is my favorite side character - loved him in Suspicious Partner, but he's outdoing himself in this one. What a great, dorky comedian. The FL is great - wacky and smart, not a doormat - and also doesn't suffer from Severely Entitled FL Syndrome, something I am absolutely tired of seeing; hate it as much as the pathetic doormats.
I thought Ahn Hyo Seop was slightly stiff at first in the tsundere CEO role, but he's easing into it so well, holding his own among all the handsome, charismatic, tsundere softie CEOs of Dramaland. I love the way the SFL and FL have such a good friendship and even the SML and ML are bros.
Watched a little of it without subs... the younger profiler ML seems to be a better actor than the older detective. He brings his character alive, while the older guy seems to be stuck with a very limited range of emotions. I hope everything smooths out, because the setting is intriguing.

He gradually falls for her from the first few eps but doesn't really realize it... From Ep 8-9 he is completely irreversibly cheesily crazily in love with her... goodness his lovey-dovey eyes every time he looks at her

No, no no... you got the plot all wrong. Basically, the ML is able to travel to the future. He can't pass a certain date, and then he finds out that date is the day he dies in an accident. So of course he gets scared and looks for ways to alter his future. The FL is also involved in that future accident and dies there.
The basic rule here is that a birth or death/collision of two different destinies can change a person's future. ML's mentor(who also time travels) tells him to marry FL and have a child(a birth) so that both ML and FL can escape their deaths on that future day. Thus, ML tries to convince FL to marry him. Don't exactly remember why FL agrees but she's a person who lives in the present and is also pretty disillusioned with the world, so she doesn't mind marrying a stranger. I think she falls for him or something.
This is the whole plot set-up for the drama. The underlying themes are about living in the present and what happens when two people marry too fast with their own different expectations. It's not a push and pull or a hate to love... both want to make the relationship work but they struggle with their own expectations and weaknesses.
