i wonder if the writers are giving him a hero complex on purpose or just using him as a tool for SR's redemption.…
You are so right. I don't know whether the writer expects us to empathize with her, because the actor has been doing a REALLY good job of portraying Sa Ra's descent into complete and utter insanity. She started out calm and evil but now she's deranged and evil. She always used to be put-together, doing her yoga moves and walking around like a model... and now she usually has only nude makeup on and madness in her eyes, clutching at strings. The way she talked to Se Chan was borderline insane. IDK whether the writers expect us to pity her just because she sold her whole life for her child, but then again, that was her choice. I forgot about her being YG's employee... she definitely was pretty well off. Makes a mistake by dating the wrong guy and then turns into an obsessive villain. I can't see her love for Sejong. She's just obsessed, thinking of him and YG as her ultimate conquests.
I'm seriously worried SR will fake a pregnancy or something of that sort... i don't think she's given up yet
Unfortunately, "Jae Ni is going through puberty. Even aliens can't negotiate with puberty" LOL ugh its so irritating to see Cha Gun being blatantly used
You would think, Gun is handsome (not to mention gainfully employed now) and would have ladies falling all over…
i wonder if the writers are giving him a hero complex on purpose or just using him as a tool for SR's redemption. i don't think she deserves one at this point... neither Anna Kim nor SR have truly apologized and felt sorry for the things they did.
Anna seems to regret leaving but she never apologized for hiding her identity and wanting to rebuild the family she abandoned by taking them with her to the US. Lots of people say she's nice because she was good to DD but is that really true? Her way of helping was giving DD stuff, taking her out to eat - all as an effort to get closer to her and feel like a mom without having to come clean - and then justifying her obsession with taking them away by thinking "DD is sad. I'm going to make her happy by taking her away to the US." Correct me if I'm wrong, but does she even know what DD majored in? She should have encouraged her to face her problems. Given her advice. Lawyer Go does a good job with that. DD also knew in her heart that just walking away to the US wasn't going to resolve anything. If AK really so desperately wanted to make SC and DD's lives "better" without coming cleanz she should take YS and her mother to the US instead lol.
YG usually stays firm to his beliefs if he's presented with hard facts or has a real conviction about something. He doesn't hesitate to correct things, yell at people who deserve to be yelled at, and throw people out of his house(lol). Even after being confronted by SR's mom and her lies, he stayed true to his convictions. However, he still is unsure about the impact his age and children will have on DD's life. Though he is being annoying, going slow will obviously help everyone not regret they're choices later. Anna Kim hit exactly that weak spot when she guilt tripped him using her trusted mentor-noona status, basically telling him that he was tying her down and depriving her of her opportunities. He has a screaming psycho for a stepmom and used to have a cheating jerk for a dad. Anna seems to be the only trusted authority in his life. Him having second thoughts really is understandable.
"monkey brain batshit crazy" has to be the BEST description of that arc so far. I hate SR, drunk, psycho, alive,…
ikr remember when she walked out of her home and stood in front of YG's house gate wonder whether to go in or not? She mentioned some other friend's name(wondering whether she should go there) and i was like "WHO IS THIS AND WHY HAVEN'T WE SEEN HER? DD IS DESPERATELY IN NEED OF A FRIEND!"
At least YG has Lawyer Go, even though he gets next to no screentime... he still gives YG all the best advice
I haven't watched the show since ep 8, but I have been keeping up with the previews and the comments made here.…
I agree completely. The actor looked more constipated than furious. It also didn't help that YG is the other male and he carries his angry scenes beautifully. The dramatic music, zoom-ins and different camera angles with the actor's weird, stiff face made me laugh throughout the scene even though I was shocked that he would go so far.
Usually the drunk version is the more troublesome but like someone mentioned here the drunk SR is better than…
"monkey brain batshit crazy" has to be the BEST description of that arc so far. I hate SR, drunk, psycho, alive, dead, whatever.
But YG's reasoning does make sense and I like that he sticks to his convictions in the face of hard facts and when he's completely sure of something. I was worried when SR's mom came raging into the house and started spouting her "you took SR to an island now take responsibility blah blah blah" nonsense, but I was surprised that he stayed impassive and firm and kicked her out of the house lol
Sometimes I think DD takes one step forward and then runs five steps backwards every episode 😑
just finished a 60 ep drama and we got the first proper kiss in ep 36 😳
wasn't a weekend drama but a xianxia - if you haven't already watched it, i recommend Never Twice. Its my favorite weekend family drama and it was done pretty well. The hair-pukling factor is always there but it was minimal.
Hyun Woo said himself that he tones down on the kissing because he knows the audience wayching are mostly elders, so i don't expect much in terms of skinship here.
Just finished watching this and here are some of my thoughts:- The visuals in this are out of this world and the…
Try Love and Destiny! It's set in almost the same world as TMOPB(they're related but only in terms of the worlds). Both main leads are amazing - please don't disregard it because ML looks older because there's absolutely no one who could pull off that God Of War-madly-in-love character other than him - and the squad if besties are hilarious and heartwarming. The sets are really beautiful and the CGI is pretty well done.
My all time favorite is Ashes of Love - have you watched that one?
i honestly like Cha Gun and Mi Rim, though... I hate the fact that CG likes SR but he still seems like a nice…
honestly ATP the conclusion i have come to is that he has some sort of hero complex - she searches for him only when she's drunk and in trouble and throws him away as soon as things get better for her. i don't know why anyone would fall for her unless they have a bad case of hero complex
who decided to vote and add the Healing tag to the drama? 😂 i understand that the family scenes are very heartwarming but the writers take whatever healing you get from that and drag you through the mud with the countless number of idiotic, infuriating characters here
Miss Anna Kim..I don't remember her real name but her acting...she is PHENOMENAL actor bruh she ATE and left NO…
i didn't feel any pity for her but yeah her acting was amazing... compared to that, i didn't feel like SC's actor did as well... i couldn't really feel the anger - his expression was more constipated than furious lol
ugh its so irritating to see Cha Gun being blatantly used

The kids are the glue that keeps the show and its viewers from falling apart, seriously.
