I can't process it yet! How can they move on from this now?! Anna was right to be frightened at the beginning.…

i doubt its even possible to get a wound like that even if you crash against a wall. either your head or jaw receives the impact first. outlandish and too dramatic.

TRIGGER WARNING-Anna and Mr park scene.I have never seen a family drama where domestic violence was shown as openly…
idk why they took it so far... it was so out of place in the drama, I was shocked. The blood on Anna's lips was weird because, well, how could you do that with a slap? That's the same makeup they put on guys when they have a fist-fight or punch each other in a different drama. today's episode was too over-the-top
On Young Lady and Gentleman Jan 9, 2022
Wow today's episode was INFURIATING and the preview was even worse. The only thing that saved it was the YG-DD-kids interactions(isn't that why we're all staying?), Love Always Runs Away and SOMI's Dumb Dumb playing in the bg.

I don't understand why the writer keeps trying to make us pity characters who DO NOT deserve pity. I'm sick of watching all these witches spending all their screen time crying.

Anna Kim? The woman, even now, doesn't see what she did wrong by lying to them and hiding her identity. She's obsessed and has no problem using any method to bring DD and SC to the US without even considering what they want. And we have to put up with her groveling and crying?! SC shouldn't have hurt her like that but THE HECK I feel no pity for her lying ass whatsoever.

Jo Sa Ra. Why is she still allowed to run free in society? She's a literal psycho - even our batty screaming vulture WDR acknowledges it - but Cha Gun still has to fall for her and she still gets a chance to have a happy life without facing the consequences of her stupidity? And we still have to watch her cry and get drunk and feel sorry for herself?

Soo Cheol is a dimwitted chicken. YS, at least, stays completely transparent and true to her inner brainless simpleton. At least we don't have to worry about her turning into a snake that bites us in the back - she was, is, and probably will always be the same simple fool she currently is.
As if we haven't had enough of people making an issue of the age gap between DB-SR and YG-DD, the writers just HAD to start causing trouble with Mi Rim and Junho being cousin-in-laws or whatever -_-

And over it all, when things are finally starting to look good for DD and YG, the writers found a nice new reason for her to continue crying and being an angsty melodramatic heroine. They just cannot let her be happy for some time, can they?
On Young Lady and Gentleman Jan 9, 2022
i seriously hate the way the writer made Cha Gun fall for SR. She doesn't deserve it and she's crossed into psycho territory a LONG time ago. She's used him when she needed and thrown him away multiple times it's just infuriating to watch.

And though YG has made his share of mistakes, i love the way he just yells and tell things to SR straight. He didn't stop to be kind and merciful and I liked that.

I sympathize with her having to put up with it. It must not have being easy, but once again I wonder why she accepted…
not excusing anyone's behaviour here but how would you feel if you KNEW your mom saved your stepdad but is being treated as a cheating slut? I wouldn't consider such a man as my father's either

i mean, idk how i would treat someone who blames me for breaking her family up when my husband is being a big fat liar and I'm the one who literally saved them... i hate YS but I can see that she's just a really stupid simpleton. Most people who come from very poor backgrounds are like that... they're nice but they love money because they think that's the only way for them to live a good life. YS's whole face screams foolish. There's nothing evil around her and she could never ever be as manipulative as SR or AK

but Anna is starting to act like psycho, honestly. leaving all other characters out, she's been acting very badly with a man she abandoned, a man who is already married. she seems to be seriously obsessed and i can't believe the things she's doing. Shamelessly dressing up in thst nightgown to meet him, holding his hand, back hugging him, calling the wife out to make her convince SC to go with her to the US... shes being manipulative, creepy, obsessive and selfish

Yea it annoys me to the comments about fighting for YG. I’m ready to ser YG fight for her. The only screen time…
I felt so weird when I watched KBS' awards ceremony. Hyun Woo won Best Actor while Park Ha Na(Sa Ra) won Best Actress and I got pretty mad, but then I realized it's just the character she plays šŸ˜‚šŸ˜… She deserves the award, though... Sa Ra makes me want to strangle her every time I see her on screen

Maybe we interpreted things in two different ways then. I still feel that there was a lot of confusion involved from YG's side... he'd try to stick to his morals by pushing her away, then he'd get jealous or see some sort of connection in DD's eyes. Then Sa Ra would guilt trip him with her tears and her whiny fake "YOU PROMISED me, HOW COULD you DO this to ME, AMNESIA OR NOTTT?" Then he'd make a resolve again to not be his father. Then something happens again and DD avoids his questions, which makes him suspicious again. I'm not saying he's completely righteous but I also can't say he's completely in the wrong.

However, you made really good points, and I'm rethinking my own opinion :) It's fun to discuss and dissect stuff here!^^

i agree about him doing wrong by pursuing her while being engaged to someone else, but I feel like the guy was really really confused with the amnesia and no one was giving him any answers. Sa Ra was the only one answering his questions even though they were all mostly lies. While watching, someone times i felt that no one really treated him as a person going through serious mental stress. The bad ones were all trying to take advantage of him while the good ones were confused. He was moving around on his own. When he confessed to her, i thought he was pretty desperate. He felt with all his heart that there was something between him and DD but everyone was telling him that he was engage and in love with someone else. He had no memories to rely on so he only had to rely on people's words, and they were contradting with his feelings. He was struggling to choose between duty - he thought it was his duty to marry her even though he felt no love - and his feelings. When he confessed to her, I saw it as an SOS. "Tell me something I feel with my heart and head to be true. There's so much proof that youre the one I lovebbut everyone is telling me I'm in love with someone i don't even really like!"

People are comparing him with SC. SC has alll his memories. SC doesn't have a good relationship with his wife butbhe clearly remembers agreeing to marry her and raising his kids together with her. He knows exactly who he used to love, he knows that the one he loved abandoned him and their chd, and he knows that he doesn't love the woman he's currently married to. He has his memories and experiences to rely on. YG was basically a 22 year old suddenly told he had to manage a house full of witches, has three kids and a woman he's engaged to. I'm sure none of us have had 20 years if memories and experiences taken from us, so his situation is no relatable. I sometimes even forget he has amnesia because everyone still expects him to have the same responsibilities and make the same decisions he used to when he was 41.

idk about fighting for anyone but all I've seen in the episodes after his amnesia was YG rentlessly pursuing DD, going after her, calling her, confessing to her while she keeps pushing him away because she thinks he's a cheater. i do agree that she need to have some sort of life outside constantly revolving around YG though. I'd like to see more scenes with just her and the kids, doing the work she's chosen to do.

Here we are, all getting aggravated with this writer but apparently, in Korea, this drama is being considered…
well, it's made for the older demographic. it's a soap opera. there are lots of serials/soap operas that get really popular in their own respective countries, while they are totally unknown in the rest of the world. All these families, mostly the elders, sit and watch these shows for evening entertainment. I think it's pretty funny - and crazy - that a Korean soap opera has managed to hook international viewers, many who are still very young. The drama was not made with this audience in mind so its pretty cool that there are so many viewers.

I won't shed a single tears over Yeonshil. This woman is a classic example of a a stupidity. I have no symptahy…
"27 years Yeonshil couldn't make her husband fall in love with her" hmmm you wanna rephrase that? Love is a mutual thing that cannot be forced. Can you really say that SC is a flawless human being? I doubt anyone here thinks that YS and SC should have a happy ending, anyway. The whole arc is really going off the rails, like MinaM said. I hate everything about it.

And Anna Kim. I can just see her going to some other man when her marriage with SC hits a rough spot... "i'm sick and I need someone and I know you like me so just run away with me i don't want to apologize and come clean but i want what i want so i'll just be extra nice to everyone and hope they forget what i did to them"
the way she acts really is selfish and obsessive, if you set aside the fact that YS is a greedy gold-digging idiot

the power of SK soap operas šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ This feels like old times, when we used to sit and watch soap operas with the family just to mock it lol... and the characters manage to squirm into our hearts whether we like it or not

I occasionally leave the timed comments on for a few different reasons, not the least of which is that it's nice…
I agree with you. I love the TCs when they're filled with fun, teasing, jokes and also when the viewers try to solve mysteries with each other. It would be a shame to see them go and I can't really get myself to turn them off. It's like a shared experience without it actually being live.
