I love the way you chose to bring the sad scenes. I got drawn in to that drama's world and then felt like crying all over again. I never watch dramas with sad endings, but I agree with what you said about powerful sad scenes in contrast with the happiness of a drama. They just leave a mark.

One of my favorite sad scenes is the one in Flower of Evil. Okay, there were a lot of scenes that made me cry, but the one on the bridge, where ML completely breaks down - i lost it. I UGLY cried throughout, and the OST just made me drown. I love the fact that FoE has only three songs in its OST but each one was carefully made.
Goodness, having that powerful ballad, with the beautiful rising and falling sounds of the orchestra and Lim Yeon's heartfelt voice singing
"In my heart
In my heart, if this is love, I’m not afraid
In my heart
I’ll always be by your side, I’ll be facing you
In my Heart

With all my strength
Even if it’s regretful or painful, I don’t care
I’ll hold out my hand and go to you
It’s where I need to be, all my love"
That drama broke me.

And though I didn't cry over Youth of May, Lee Do Hyun made me drown in tears multiple times with his performance in 18 Again. 2020 was a good year...

But Mr Park wasn’t single long
I don't know, but there's a looong, time-consuming procedure the father has to go through to register the child (This is before 2015). During that time, he can't hire babysitters or send the kid to a daycare center. So he has to take care of her 24/7 AND find a way to earn enough to pay for all services out of his own pocket.
The law was there to protect mothers and children when DNA testing didn’t exist.

"No birth registration means that a child doesn't exist legally. They have no social security number and no access to any of the government’s childcare or welfare policies, not even health insurance. Children under the age of 12 are vaccinated for free, but for those who are not registered, each shot ranges in cost from 10,000 won ($8.80) to 150,000 won. Hospital visits must be paid for out of pocket too."

I hate to admit it, but I also found her scenes with Gun nice. Until last episode I felt like throwing up everytime…
I agree that she has to pay for what she's done. However, I don't think she's plotting something right now. Gun's persistent kindness seems to be swaying her. When she had flashbacks comparing Gun's acceptance and love for her with YG's cold rejection, it seemed like she was slowly realizing how foolish she had been.

To me, Jo Sa Ra always seemed to be a tantrum-throwing child who never grew up. Even though it's kinda unfair to Cha Gun, she is getting her redemption through him. I want to see her go on her knees and beg for forgiveness, but I wouldn't mind her having a happy ending. She seems to like him, and I liked the way she stood up for him, didn't allow her mom to talk ill of him, and didn't mince her words or try to hide her relationship with him when her mother disapproved. The hat and scarf he bought her didn't really match her style but she seemed genuinely happy and meant it when she told him she liked it because they were gifts from him. She always used to turn up her nose at poverty or anything beneath the wealthy lifestyle she was obsessed with having, but she didn't mind standing in line for a long time to get the food Gun wanted to eat with her. I may be naive and way too forgiving, but I really think she isn't faking it. I think the key to her redemption is letting go of Sejong. She's been obsessed with him and the imaginary life she had built in her head.

I also think the writer is kinda going easy on her because lots of people like Park Ha Na and her terrific acting.

It was so satisfying the way she pointed out that WDR was basically asking her to rob YG ,Her appearance reminds…
You are so right about her resembling Fraulein Rottenmeier 😂😂 I also thought she looked a bit like Mary Poppins at first lol - the same no-nonsense-but-savage personality

yayyy today's episode started out stormily but the second half was quite peaceful...

i never ever dreamed I'd say this... but I kinda like the new Sa Ra. Sure, she's gonna have to face consequences, but there are enough of psycho obsessive women in this drama. the change is refreshing and Cha Gun is a good guy.

the episode literally starts with everybody crying AGH more frustration is being served... YG giving Sejong a goodnight kiss and running down the hall like a madman to pick DD up in the middle of the night saved it though lol

THANK YOU, UNKNOWN AHJUMMA, FOR LETTING THE CAT OUT OF THE BAG! THANK YOUUUUUU

it's funny that y'all hate this drama so much but still watch it, comment the spoilers here, and hate it together…
that's what weekend dramas are made for lol... we love it, we hate it, we want to hug all the characters and then we want to strangle them to death - it's the weekend makjang life 😎

The writer is diabolical, probably laughing maniacally as she concocts more craziness.
well, she even got an award for it even before the whole thing aired

Up late pondering about shows... Amnesia plots that have ruined a show. Flower of Evil. I loved Flower of Evil,…
it's the very plot of the drama... the writers included that in the description so no one should be surprised.

hasn't happened yet but most of us expect the show to take that turn... YG rejected her, yelled at her, was impassive…
WE know... but if the main characters don't find out imma punch them in the face and throw them off a cliff - or maybe I should be the one jumping off a cliff in frustration

Title Money Flower
I'm in THAT phase of fangirling, where I'll watch pretty much anything Jang Seung Jo is in... but I've never watched a makjang before. Can someone please tell me what I should expect... or if this is even worth it?

Can't wait for The Good Detective 2 and Youngest Son of a Conglomerate!

idk whether I'll watch My Liberation Diary but I hope it gets a rating above 8% so we get Kim Ji Won and Lee Min Ki on Jang Sung Kyu's Workman lol

I don't mean this to be insulting, but could you please list at least five dramas where the amnesia was done well?…
watched all three 😬... 100 DMP was okay and I didn't really consider FOE as an amnesia drama 😅

Title Reset
This drama is sooooo freaking good.. And I love the main leads already, I'll go check some of their other works…
Bai Jing Ting was amazing in You Are My Hero with Sandra Ma... another one is Octogenarians and the 90s with Janice Wu, but it's a slice of life drama about a nursing home and has next to no romance, so not everyone's cup of tea.
