I agree that the leads were just brilliant. Both FL and ML were amazing, and they worked together so well. I could feel the chemistry even though there was no skinship/overt romance. I could watch the two of them solve mysteries all day - just leave out all those corrupt boring idiots. As you said, maybe this just isn't my genre.
This is for me is the best Chinese drama in the category of student-teacher themed love stories. I watched some…
i agree. I liked the fact that he respected her as an equal, too. There didn't seem to be a "power imbalance" or stuff like that, He respected her EQ and she respected his IQ.
I am hoping for a role with more animation. Something out of his comfort zone to test his range.
yeah all his dramas after Suspicious Partner more or less flopped. His upcoming dramas look pretty interesting - a magician role and a delinquent role... hope they're good!
pretty sure he has his phone - DD told him he has all the messages
Anna Kim didn't help with her guilt tripping... he's obviously going to get confused if the only authority/mentor figure in his life tells him he's tying DD down and depriving her of her opportunities
Can someone recommend another drama like this to me?
Never Twice has the same feels with less annoying ahjummas. My Father is Strange is one of the most popular weekend family dramas. Five Enough has children in it.
just started this one and it is SO amusing to see a rich detective - most detective shows showcase dirt-poor detectives begging and pleading for investigation money while this guy goes around throwing banknotes at everyone 😂😂 -
also the FL is A.N.N.O.Y.I.N.G. idk why crime thriller kdrama writers seem incapable of writing good FL characters in their dramas. Both Team Bulldog and this one suffer from the same disease. ugh she makes me want to pull out my hair every time she comes on screen. all the recurring female characters are terrible people - except maybe ML's sister
The Stepmother is really such an unlikeable person. Dan Dan comes home and instead of asking why, she just worries…
Well, Go Ahead was a crazy popular; very well written and acted drama. but almost all the mothers were TERRIBLE. The opposite is in Fall in Love, which has the worst dads ever. Humans are humans and the writers can write whatever they want, as long as the drama is good...
I'm seriously worried SR will fake a pregnancy or something of that sort... i don't think she's given up yet
she's actually really brutal with her dad when he doesn't do things the way she likes. Sure, he may be in the wrong sometimes, but it isn't her job to correct him with such hard words... Typical rude teen daughter - i think wuxia/xianxia dramas are the only dramas where the teen daughters are polite to their fathers lol
Was it that hard for them to film pulling a proper block for the Jenga tower to fall? The one YG pulled was obviously…
IKR I was dumbfounded with that scene... they even zoomed in to show us exactly how stupid they think we are . And the rest of them were all looking at the tower like he was playing the hardest move ever - my cousins would have been screaming at me to use my one braincell if I was in YG's place.
She is constantly being evil and it looks like she will get Cha Gun. The writers better have Cha gun meet another…
oh my goodness, I forgot about her! Yes, definitely, I'll ship CG with ANYONE other than that miserable witch -_- Even DD has no friends but SR has this guy to lean on, cry on, and then throw away as soon as things start looking better for her.
