There is currently no character I hate more than Yeong Sil, Dan Dan's stupid step-mother. What an absolutely wicked character. Never mind that her family is the reason Dan Dan and her dad are broke. Never mind that she was stupid enough to invest in a SHIPWRECKED TREASURE. Never mind that she keeps acting like a poor victim even though she's the cause for all their troubles. Never mind that she's literally a squatter, not even finding a freaking JOB to get the family out of this mess. WHY would you invite your entire family to the house you are supposed to be HIDING at? How stupid, selfish, and cruel can a person get?

IKR I thought they would draw out the revelation that Sa Ra was Sejong's mom but nooooooo they just kept revealing everything. Either the writers are confident that they can write a story about all of Korea or the drama is going to fall on its face and get draggy. But with it's 27.8% viewership, I'm hoping for the best.

No, she's not his mom. ML's mom was the late father's first wife. In ep 3 or 4, the housekeeper/cook tells FL that the mistress isn't the real mother of ML and that's why she didn't care when he married his first wife who wasn't from an influential family.
