It's free on Viki with subs! π₯°π₯° What a beautiful movie. The music really touched my heart. Everyone was very well cast for their respective roles.
for family drama; i'd rec https://kisskh.at/25162-romance-of-our-parents even though i've never seen it,…
Romance of our Parents seems to be a good one, but like you said, it doesn't seem to have good subs since it's from 2014. I don't like noona romances or age-gap romances in general... my favorite type is when both are in their 30s.
The Day of Becoming You looks SO interesting! Thanks for the recc, I'll check it out! I love Steven Zhang^^
I LOVED the subtle way everything changes! I'd only notice now and then, feeling nostalgic every time! What are…
Do you know that Forever and Ever is a sequel? You might want to watch the first season(One and Only) while you're waiting :)
I gave up searching for dramas like The Bond (I didn't get pulled into Heard it Through The Grapevine much )... family dramas are always hit-and-miss! I started You Are My Glory but I don't enjoy it as much as everyone seems to be enjoying it.
A lot of these c-dramas seem to be going nowhere sometimes... I'm on Ep 7 and there's no real hook. I enjoy it quite a lot when I watch it, but sometimes I forget I have to continue watching it π
I have The World Owes Me My First Love and My Love, Enlighten Me still stuck around the 21-22nd eps, too.

Oh my goodness I can't believe I avoided this drama for so long just for one terribly stupid reason: I thought Love O2O had too many unreal, porcelain-looking characters π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ Dang, YangYang looks so FINE in this one!
Vivi what are you watching now? You seem to have great taste... :)
Awww thanks! It's nice to find someone with similar tastes!
I gave up searching for family dramas... they're like hidden gems I have to stumble on and suddenly like by accident π π
I thought I'll start the cdrama You are My Glory because it looks like a very good Chinese romcom.
I watched Tomorrow With You recently and LOVED it... all about the realistic challenges of a couple who marry too quickly but mixed with a time-travelling plot that amplifies the problems most couples face. It's a romcom that leans a little on the angst side.
Also watched Thirty but Seventeen just before this... it's a romcom which has that distinct kdrama flavorβ full of unexpected family and heartwarming, hilarious characters. It's a rom-com, so there's lots of romance and comedy.
You might like 18 Again... again, it's full of beautiful family relationships(though the main plot is the same as the movie 17 Again).
Ahhh, I'm postponing watching the last episode because I don't know what to watch next! This drama has definitely…
I worked on the drama "Octogenarians and the 90s"... it's also beautifully shot with Bai Jing Ting and Janice Wu as the mains. It's about two young people who manage a nursing home. The guy is funny, awkward and street-smart, the girl is responsible, a natural leader and artist. I found it quite heartwarming and sweet, because I love old people. It's quite realistic with its portrayal of all kinds of old people and the challenges and barriers between the old and the young.
But it does drag quite a bit with its 39 episodes and I would have liked more romance. Bai Jing Ting was the reason I stuck with it many times. I loved his actions and expressions. I had to watch it twice and watch it segment to segment the second time so don't trust me on how interesting it is... you can check the reviews and decide π The thing with realistic/nostalgic dramas is that they're always hit-or-miss for each individual person.
I love Yiding. He's the most romantic of them all -- the sudden kiss in the rain; the walks home; movie night;…
Agree! Even the way he's usually around her, the way he's always more concerned about her first, the way he knows exactly how to make her laugh, the sudden kisses even after they've been married for years... he melts me more than a lot of way-too-handsome MLs I've seen :)
My favorite side characters: 1. Wang Yiding 2. Song Qingyuan (Yicheng's friend - I wanted to see more of him!) 3. Nanfang 4. Weiming/Weimin/Jia Min/ whatever you want to call Yicheng's cousin 5. Master Ma 6. Weiming's wife
Just finished it!! What a wonderful journey this has been, carrying us along with the Qiao family from the 80's to 2010 π It was realistic, beautiful and heartwarming. Every actor played their parts to perfection. They were so natural! I love the way we see them age slowly and subtly. Respect for everyone involved in bringing this to us, including the subbing team!!
PS: Yiding's laugh at the end surprised me so much π That was a first! Loved the last scene, the camera movements, the screenplay, everything. What a wonderful ending! It was amazing to watch and discuss this show with all of you here in the comments. So many times, I pulled through by ranting here and then going back to watch. Thank you all for keeping me company!
What are y'all watching next? I have no idea what to do with my time now that this beautiful drama is over!
